McDonald’s Salted Egg Yolk Fries, Peach Pie and Pandan Soft Serve aren’t the only new items available in the fast food scene. Burger King has just launched two exciting mentaiko burgers: Salmon Mentaiko Burger ($5.50 for a la carte, $6.90 for a Value Meal) and Mentaiko Double Chick’n Crisp ($5.50 for a la carte, $6.90 for a Value Meal).

The Salmon Mentaiko Burger comes with soft pillowy sesame buns sandwiching a fat piece of fried salmon fillet. Just imagine biting into it and having ripples of mentaiko mayo oozing into your mouth — yum.
Opt for the Value Meal for a packet of fries and a small Sjora Mango Peach or Strawberry Kiwi drink on the side.

The Mentaiko Double Chick’n Crisp features two crispy chicken fillets blanketed in the same indulgent mentaiko sauce. The crisp onions and lettuce provide a much-welcomed freshness to this hearty burger. The veggies also offer a textural contrast to the chicken patties, creating a party in your mouth with every bite.

If the mentaiko burgers are not enough to satisfy your cravings, get the Four-Tune Box ($8.80). A medley of Onion Rings, Fries, Cheesy Tots and Chicken Nuggets sit in this box, making this a great snack for your CNY mahjong sessions.
You can also check out these other mentaiko dishes if fast food’s not your thing. From mentaiko oysters to mentaiko omu rice, there are plenty of options out there for hardcore fans of cod roe.
