Here Is The Complete List Of The Michelin Guide Singapore 2022 Awardees

Michelin Guide Singapore 2022

After a two-year hiatus, where the annual Michelin Awards ceremony were held virtually, this year’s Michelin Guide Singapore 2022 awards are back with a bang. The gala, held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, sees the best of Singapore’s restaurants lauded for their outstanding fare.

Michelin inspectors globally critique the eateries according to five standard criteria: the quality of the ingredients used, mastery of cooking techniques and flavours, projection of the chef’s personality in his cuisine, value for money, as well as consistency over time and across the menu.

Kickstarting the night are the one-star awardees, of which there are 42, including seven new entrants. These establishments are considered “very good in their category”, with cuisine of a consistently high standard:

  1. 28 Wilkie
  2. Alma
  3. Art
  4. Basque Kitchen by Aitor
  5. Beni
  6. Braci
  7. Buona Terra

This year, there’s only one hawker stall, Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle, on the list. Hawker Chan, which had won the one-star accolade from Singapore’s inaugural Michelin Guide in 2016, and each subsequent year till 2021, has since lost its star.

Here are the restaurants that have been awarded two stars, AKA they serve excellent cuisine in a unique way, with exceptional dishes that are “worth a detour”:

  1. Cloudstreet*
  2. Jaan by Kirk Westaway
  3. Saint Pierre
  4. Shisen Hanten
  5. Shoukouwa
  6. Thevar*
  7. Waku Ghin

Rounding off the awards ceremony are this year’s three-Michelin-star restaurants: these present exceptional cuisine with dishes executed to perfection. They’re destinations “worth a special journey” to:

  1. Les Amis
  2. Odette
  3. Zén

Other than the coveted stars, this year’s gala saw two new award categories—Young Chef Award, which went to Louis Han of Nae:um, and the Welcome & Service Award, which was awarded to Samantha Goh of Saint Pierre.
