Midnight Noodle Club is here to change up your late-night supper game! At this new cafe, you get to cook your own instant noodle and zhng it up with as many ingredients as you want. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to see a large array of instant noodle flavours you can choose from, all arranged neatly on the wall in a glass display cabinet.Â
Choose from a selection of almost 80 flavours, sorted into three price categories: red, orange, and green. The instant noodles that fall into the red pile are priced from $5.50 with notable flavours such as Tonkotsu King Ramen, Kyushu Red, and various types of Buldak flavours, including Quattro Cheese, Habanero Lime, and Rose.Â
The orange pile is priced at $3.50 each, with flavours such as Nongshim Shin Ramen and Tom Yum Mama. The green pile is the most affordable out of the lot at $2.50, and there’s the classic Indomie and more. Whether you enjoy soup or dry instant noodles, there’s definitely a flavour here that will strike your fancy.Â
Here comes the fun part! Once you pick your instant noodle of choice, you are given a bowl to fill with ingredients. There’s a good selection of toppings ($0.60 each) to choose from: sausages, fishballs, meat, tofu, and vegetables. If you’re in the mood to splurge, there are also more premium ingredients such as prawns, salmon slices, and chicken collagen, which range from $2 to $6 depending on what you get.
Other than these ingredients, there are also plenty of condiments such as pickled radish, kimchi, and spring onions. There’s also a range of sauces to add as the finishing touch. FYI, pay $1.50 for an unlimited serving of condiments and sauces! You even get to add sliced cheese ($0.60) atop your noods, which in my opinion, is truly a game changer when it comes to elevating your instant noodles.Â
This cafe operates entirely on a self-service system, down to the cooking process. All you have to do is place your bowl on the machine and choose the settings according to the noodles you’ve picked. There is even a timer that ensures your noodles are cooked just right, to achieve that perfect al-dente, springy texture.Â
The interior of Moonlight Noodle Club sports a video-game-inspired look, complete with neon lit-up signs that direct customers to different stages of the DIY process. For example, a sign reads “Choose Your Main Character” for the noodle selection wall, “Level Up” for the ingredients selection, and finally, “Loading Screen” for the cooking area.Â
If you are craving a comforting bowl of instant noodles, head down to Midnight Noodle Bar for a spruced-up version of what you’d usually get at home or elsewhere. Do note that the cafe’s seating capacity is pretty limited, and can seat only around 15 people at a time.Â
For easy access, the nearest train station is Farrer Park which is a seven-minute walk away.Â
