Miss Gelato: Cute New Glamping-Themed Gelato Cafe In Bugis

Miss Gelato is a glamping-themed cafe in Bugis

With many new glamping-themed cafes popping up, it is no surprise that many eateries are hopping on this new trend. Among them is Miss Gelato, which debuted last November as a cosy cafe with said theme, offering desserts and drinks daily until 3 am.

Instead of regular tables and chairs, the cafe is fitted with beanbags, camping chairs, and mini tables. If you come at night, the cafe uses fairy lights and dim lighting that makes the cafe extra vibey while you enjoy your sweet treats!

After lounging on the beanbags, my colleague and I ordered their Double-Scoop Ice Cream Waffle ($17.20), paired with pistachio and Earl Grey gelato, as well as a single scoop of their 95% dark chocolate ($5).

The made-to-order waffles had a thick and airy texture that perfectly suited my taste. It was accompanied by honey and powdered sugar, which offered an additional layer of sweetness to the dessert.

The ice creams were all very rich and creamy, but one that stood out was the Earl Grey flavour. It had a prominent floral flavour and was quite refreshing. The dark chocolate and pistachio, however, became a tad bit cloying towards the end, but pairing it with the waffle helped to balance the sweetness out.

The cafe often rotates ice cream flavours as well, so if you’re lucky, you can try unique flavours such as ondeh ondeh and muah chee!

Currently, they are also having a promotion: you can get 1-for-1 single scoop ice cream for $5 if you show your dining receipt from Mr Mookata, located just downstairs! Miss Gelato is situated conveniently opposite Bugis Junction, and is a three-minute walk from Bugis MRT Station. Come by if you’re looking for a late-night spot to unwind with friends and family!
