November is when most of us are already mentally on leave, with year-end dinners filling the calendar. But Singapore’s food scene isn’t slowing down. This month brings a competitive eater’s first restaurant, a Japanese beef bowl chain taking on Sukiya and Yoshinoya, and an ex-fine-dining chef wok-frying pasta at a Bukit Merah hawker centre. Here are the best new restaurants and cafes to check out in November 2026.
Table of Contents
Japan’s Matsuya is one of the country’s most popular gyudon chains, with about 1,200 outlets back home and over 1,500 worldwide. Its first Singapore outlet lands at Suntec City in November 2026, setting up a three-way beef bowl showdown with Sukiya and Yoshinoya.
Local prices are still TBD, but in Japan the classic Beef Bowl—thinly sliced beef stewed with onions in sweet soy sauce—goes for just ¥480, or about $3.90. Other bowls include the Beef Bowl with Tomato and Cheese and Beef Bowl with Grated Radish and Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce, while the Beef Curry with Hamburg Steak ($TBD) is the heartier pick. Ordering and payment are done at a kiosk, so this is very much an in-and-out lunch.

Competitive eater Zermatt Neo has made his first F&B move with OVER, a Tras Street restaurant about a five-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and Maxwell MRT Station. As you’d expect, size is the whole point—most dishes come in Lesser, Standard, or Challenge portions.
The Curry Me Over (from $23++) was our favourite: a huge, juicy chicken cut in nanban sauce over fragrant Hainanese-style curry rice. The Shroyu-Clams! (from $35++) pack plenty of meat per clam in a buttery, garlicky shoyu sauce made for mopping up with sourdough. The Wing Me Over (from $10++) is shatteringly crispy, though the skin rub was a tad too salty for us.
Feeling brave? The Ultimate Food Challenge (from $239++) gives you an hour to finish an 8kg platter, solo or in a team of up to four, for a free meal, a cash prize, and a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Founded in Fujian in 2013, Xiao Jiao Tian now runs more than 80 kitchens across China and Singapore. After its City Square Mall debut, the Sichuan-inspired chain has opened a second outlet on the third floor of Wisma Atria, a short walk from Orchard MRT Station. The spice is dialled down for a wider range of palates, and every dish is cooked to order.
The signature Bullfrog with Pickled Chilli ($39.90++) is the one to order—tender bullfrog in a spicy, tangy pickled chilli broth. Heat-seekers should get the Chinese Sauerkraut Fish ($29.90++), with adjustable spice levels, while the Sweet & Sour Pork ($24.90++) keeps things mild. For now, free-flow tea, ice cream, snacks, and rice go for just $1.50++ per person, down from $3++.

Tanica, The Singapore EDITION‘s signature restaurant, is built around herbs, spice, and live fire. Its name blends “botanical” and “tannins”, and nearly everything passes through a wok or Josper charcoal grill before reaching your table in the greenery-wrapped, arboretum-inspired dining room.
Start light with the Salad of Jicama & Pineapple ($22++), tossed in a tangy tamarind dressing, then tuck into the “Iga Bakar Kicap” 72-Hour Wagyu Beef Short Rib ($58++) to share—slow-grilled until the meat slides off the bone, glazed in sweet soy, and cut with a fiery sambal embe. The Asam Pedas Seafood Risotto ($58++) cooks the Italian classic in a sour-spicy asam pedas broth with ama ebi and sea grape.
For an easier way in, the weekday Three-Course Set Lunch ($48++ per person) is wallet-friendly by hotel standards, while Sunday Table (from $98++ per person) is a semi-buffet brunch with unlimited a la carte dishes.

Shanghai coconut drink brand Yee3 has drawn long queues in Kuala Lumpur and Sydney, and it’s opening at ION Orchard in mid-November 2026. With more than 500 outlets globally, the brand leans on fresh Thai coconut water and skips the heavy sweeteners.
The must-order is the Pistachio Cloud Coconut Water (price TBD), which has sold over five million cups worldwide. Also new here is the Coconut Frost Shake (price $TBD), billed as Singapore’s first “frost fried” coconut drink—flash-iced coconut churned fresh daily in a gelato machine, in Original, Matcha, Grape, Watermelon, and Mango. Local prices haven’t been announced, but drinks in China go for about $2.50 to $5.40.

Rawr Cafe is the latest from Wunderfolks, the group behind Oh Wunder Cafe and Cafe Barco. Unlike its siblings, this tiger-themed Jalan Besar spot goes all in on local flavours, serving Western brunch dishes with a Singaporean twist.
Start with the Singaporean Breakfast Latte ($8++), a creamy pandan latte crowned with a foam “fried egg” with a kaya-flavoured yolk, served with a light, fragrant slab of kaya toast. It was our favourite, for looks and taste. The Nasi Lemak Chicken Burger ($18++) is hearty and bold with sambal and ikan bilis. The Soft Shell Crab Chilli Pasta ($23++) comes with a crispy, sweet whole crab, though the sauce tasted more like a regular tomato pasta sauce than chilli crab.

Tucked inside Ang Mo Kio-Bishan Park, Shared Table is a garden cafe from Jerls Su of Average Service and Jazreel Low of Aramsa – The Garden Spa next door. The menu is built on the Japanese ichiju sansai principle of one soup and three dishes.
That idea lives in the Nourish Plate (from $21.90++), which gets you a grain, a protein, two sides, and a soup of the day. Go for the Honey Glazed Goji Smoked Duck—tender, smoky, and crisp-skinned. Skip the flat mushroom soup for the naturally sweet ABC soup. The Chicken Skewers ($14.90++) are juicy and well-marinated, with tzatziki and warm pita. Our lattes were watered down, but the hearty plates and pet-friendly alfresco area make up for it.

Malaysian-style pan mee specialist Ng Kuan Chilli Pan Mee is opening its fifth outlet—and its first in the East—at Century Square in mid-November 2026, steps from Tampines MRT Station. Its other outlets keep late or 24-hour hours, so Tampines night owls have a new supper option.
The Signature Ban Mian ($6.50) comes loaded with minced pork, ikan bilis, fried shallots, garlic, a runny egg, and the brand’s punchy hae bee chilli, or go dry for $6.80. You can swap in mee sua, mee hoon kueh, or you mian, while the Chicken, Fish, or Pork Cutlet Ban Mian ($8.80) adds more heft. Share a plate of Deep-Fried Squid Tentacles ($10) on the side.

Chef Henry Yong spent time in the kitchen of Michelin-recognised Scandinavian restaurant Dill before swapping fine dining for family time—and a wok. His new hawker stall Woksta, at ABC Brickworks Market & Food Centre, wok-fries pasta with local flavours and a house-made coconut sauce.
There are just three dishes, all wallet-friendly. The Laksa Seafood ($10) was our favourite, with floral laksa leaves and generous plump prawns and sotong, though it didn’t taste entirely like laksa. The Curry Fried Chicken ($7) packs the strongest wok hei, while the creamy Fish & Coconut ($9) has crispy seabass that was a tad fishy. It’s weekday lunch only, so come early.

Founder Fuad Salim spent 30 years as an F&B and hotel manager collecting recipes, and Nomad Kitchen is the result: a stall at Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre serving dishes from seven countries, all made from scratch daily.
The Saffron Jujeh ($8) from Iran was our favourite—a generous plate of thoroughly marinated kebabs with a tangy yoghurt sauce and smoky roasted vegetables. The Afghan Chicken (from $6) pairs juicy rotisserie chicken with sweet, layered kabuli rice, though the meat underneath was slightly bland. The Lasagna ($8.50) is savoury, hearty, and a surprise standout for a hawker stall. Visit early if you’d like a taste of these dishes!

Japan’s Mr. CHEESECAKE has sold over one million whole cakes back home, and it’s bringing its first Southeast Asian pop-up to ION Orchard from 11 November to 30 December 2026. Founder Chef Koji Tamura cooked at three-Michelin-starred Mirazur and one-Michelin-starred Restaurant ES before the cheesecakes he baked on the side took off enough for him to quit restaurants altogether.
The BASQUE CHEESECAKE Original ($62) is the one to start with, with a deep caramelised aroma. Matcha fans should head straight for the Mr. CHEESECAKE Matcha ($69), made with Yame matcha from Fukuoka, while the Mr. CHEESECAKE Sakekasu Coconut ($69) is the wildcard, pairing the savoury depth of sake lees with coconut and lychee. Quantities are limited, so don’t leave it to the last week of December.
