To usher in a ‘hae bee’ Chinese New Year, Old Chang Kee is announcing their latest creation for the upcoming festivities, in the form of their Hae Bee Hiam Chicken’O. Encased in golden brown pastry, the puffs are packed with real hae bee hiam, chicken and their rempah blend of spices, making for a spicy yet savoury combination. More commonly used as a condiment in cooking, hae bee hiam is indeed the star of the show here, with an unmistakable fiery flavour that people so love.
Each puff launches at $2 each. Buy two and you get to enjoy a promotional price of $3.60. This isn’t the first time Old Chang Kee has introduced such limited-edition puff innovations, with Red Bean’O in a strawberry pastry and Salted Egg Yam’O previously.
A yearly affair, Old Chang Kee will also be launching their highly sought after Golden Crispy Prawn Roll snack filled with hae bee hiam, at $16.80 a tub and $30 for two from 15 January.
