Old Chang Kee Has New Limited-Edition Salted Egg Yolk Orh Nee Puffs

Old Chang Kee releases Salted Egg Yam’O

Salted egg yolk and yam paste, better known as orh nee, are two of Singapore’s most favourite flavours. For Mid-Autumn Festival, Old Chang Kee puts two and two together with their limited-edition Salted Egg Yam’O puff.

As a play on the traditional Teochew-style mooncakes, Old Chang Kee’s Salted Egg Yam’O combines the golden buttery pastry you love from its curry puffs with sweet orh nee and a generous hunk of egg yolk.

Each piece will retail for $2.20, and will be in stalls islandwide till 1 October 2020, or while stocks last.

Since sharing is caring, Old Chang Kee is also releasing a seven-course set for Mid-Autumn Festival, priced at $68++.

Able to serve four to five and delivered to your home, this box is packed with Old Chang Kee favourites, like 20 pieces of seafood nuggets, 20 pieces of Cheezy chicken sausage and chicken balls, 20 pieces of Chicken Bites with Cheese, six Curry’Os and four Salted Egg Yam’Os.

Two savoury dishes also come with the set ─ Golden Pumpkin Yam Rice and Soya Sauce Chicken. Every order entitles you to two 1.5l bottles of free drinks as well. If you need something to go along with your mooncake haul this Mid-Autumn Festival, Old Chang Kee has just the thing.

As Mid-Autumn Festival looms, mooncake lovers scrambling to bag a box can also check out our list of mooncake delivery deals.

For more orh nee treats, check out June Bakery, famous for their yam tarts, or City Donuts at Telok Ayer for orh nee doughnuts. Luna Patisserie at Amoy Street also has orh nee cakes.

If you truly love Old Chang Kee enough to attempt their recipe at home, watch our latest episode of Eatbook Vs. In this video, we take on Old Chang Kee’s Curry’O with our very own recipe, and let our colleagues decide which is better.
