Located just five minutes away by foot from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station is a trendy mall by the name of GR.iD. Many will recognise the mall as PoMo, which is its former name prior to undergoing a revamp in 2021. One of GR.iD’s pride and joy is Oppa Sha-Shabu & BBQ, where you can enjoy unlimited servings of both shabu shabu and Korean BBQ without breaking the bank.

A weekday lunch buffet is priced at $16++, while a weekday dinner buffet, weekend lunch buffet, and weekend dinner buffet costs $26++.
Starting with their shabu shabu, you get a nice range of meat cuts such as Pork Belly, Beef Shortplate, and Boneless Chicken that are free-flow. Besides the dashi broth, there’s the kimchi stew broth for you to try.

Since it’s a buffet, you also get an extensive selection of side dishes to choose from, including Gimbap, Japchae, Teokbokki, Fried Chicken, Korean Pancakes and more.

Some may not agree, but I believe fresh vegetables are indispensable to a good shabu shabu experience. Each basket comes with potatoes, carrots, hot dogs, fishballs, bok choy, tau geh, enoki mushrooms, and crabmeat sticks.

For their K-BBQ buffet, look forward to must-haves including Pork Belly, Beef Bulgogi, Prawns, Stir-Fried Spicy Squid and more. Don’t forget to grill some of the kimchi with the pork belly for an enhanced flavour!
