Soon, you don’t have to cross the border for your Oriental Kopi fix: the famous chain, which boasts 14 outlets in Malaysia, is coming to Singapore by September 2024!
A joint partnership with Paradise Group, this new opening marks the brand’s first overseas venture. There aren’t many details at the moment, but according to a press release, the Singapore cafe will be in a “prime location”. There are also plans to expand and open a total of eight outlets within Singapore in the next three years.
On the food front, the new outlet will offer signature dishes the brand is known for, along with Singapore-exclusive items. Their Signature Egg Tart (price TBD) will definitely be on the menu.
Premium French butter is used in these famous egg tarts, which are uber thick with a thick custard middle. Each piece is crispy on the outside, while smooth and creamy within. These bakes were also given the title of “Thickest Egg Tart” in the Malaysia Book of Records!

For the perfect brekkie or snack, Oriental Kopi’s Double Butter Kaya Toast (price TBD) will not disappoint. You get thin toast packed with Hainanese kaya and not one, but two slabs of cold butter for extra indulgence.

The chain is known for their nasi lemak too, served with various toppings. Crowned with a deep-fried chicken thigh, the Oriental Signature Nasi Lemak (price TBD) is a must-try. Else, you can swap out the fried chicken for beef rendang instead!
For drinks, the Oriental Kopi (price TBD) is a must-order. This full-bodied, Nanyang-style coffee is made from a secret mix of top-quality Arabica, Robusta, and Liberica beans. You can also try the Oriental Mocha (price TBD), which features premium chocolate and fresh milk for a deliciously rich and sweet brew.
We’ll update this article when we get more information about the new Singapore opening.
In related news, Great Nanyang Heritage Cafe is now open in Somerset! This Nanyang-style cafe sports a retro 90s look and offers old-school bites such as Curry Chicken Chee Cheong Fun. Else, check out Da Cheng Lok Lok, another JB-famous eatery that has also set up shop in Singapore.
Address: TBD
Opening hours: TBD
