Fresh, handmade pasta seems to be the “in” thing now, with Tangled and more takeaway kiosks offering affordable alternatives to upscale restaurants such as Forma. Another casual, takeaway-only brand that’s been making waves of late is Pastago, which has kiosks in JCube and Tiong Bahru. The homegrown chain will soon launch its third outlet, at Wisteria Mall in Yishun.
In case you’re new to the brand, read our Pastago review for our recommendations on what to order! The kiosk offers freshly made pasta in various shapes and sauces, from just $3.90.
The cheapest on the list is the Aglio e Olio ($3.90), which you can customise to your liking. Top up for your choice of protein, with options including smoked duck (+$2.50) and grilled chicken (+$2).
Another must-try is the Al Limone with Seared Prawns ($9.90): fresh Maflade pasta topped with tobiko and prawns, served with a creamy lemon, butter, and cheese sauce on the side.
There’s also the Carbonara, made with egg, cheese, and savoury bacon bits. It’s priced from $6.90, and goes up to $9.90 for a portion with smoked salmon.
The pastas are made fresh each day, and the sauces are cooked to order. Each sauce is packed separately to prevent the pasta from getting soggy, so you can reheat and pour it over your noodles once you’re ready to eat.

Wisteria Mall is a 10-minute bus ride from Yishun MRT Station, or a 13-minute walk from Khatib MRT Station.
There’s no date as to when the new Yishun outlet is set to open, though a quick search on Wisteria Mall’s store directory reveals that Pastago is “coming soon” to the mall. A brand representative mentioned that the branch should open in the next two weeks, which means it should be up and running by mid-September 2022.
For more food in the area, Feng Zhen Lor Mee has opened their first outlet in the north, at Yishun Avenue 1! Otherwise, read our Orchid Live Seafood review for lobster porridge and fresh crab in Khatib.
