PSA: After a 27-year ban, pig blood curd is officially returning to Singapore. If you’ve been curious to try it after all the recent buzz online, here’s one more reason to make your way down to PUTIEN this weekend. From 30 May to 1 June 2026, diners at PUTIEN can enjoy one complimentary serving of their Stir-fried Pig Blood Curd with Chinese Chives per table, while stocks last.

Do note that the dish is not available for sale. It has been specially created to celebrate the return of pig blood curd to Singapore after the food item was previously unavailable for years.

The limited-time dish features glossy cubes of pig blood curd stir-fried with Chinese chives, garlic, and a savoury sauce. If you’ve never tried pig blood curd before, the texture is often compared to silken tofu or firm jelly, with a smooth and slightly creamy bite. The Chinese chives add a garlicky fragrance and crunch that helps balance the richness of the dish.

Pig blood curd has been making a comeback across Singapore in recent weeks, with several restaurants and steamboat chains bringing it back onto their menus. Earlier this month, we tried it at Haidilao, where the cubes soaked up the broth nicely and had a soft, custard-like texture.

Quantities are limited daily, so you may want to head down earlier if you’re planning to try it.

The complimentary dish will be available at all PUTIEN outlets in Singapore for dine-in customers only.

Also, Cookhouse by Koufu has opened at Changi Airport Terminal 2 as a 24-hour food court with 14 stalls!
