There’s A Food Truck In Punggol And It’s Giving Out Free Salted Egg Yolk Dishes

Salted Egg Food Truck at Punggol

We can’t remember when the craze began, but our love for salted egg yolk will never die. If KFC’s new salted egg yolk fried chicken is not enough to satiate your cravings, you must visit Salted Egg Shiok Food Truck  for all things salted egg. Happening on 15 July 2018, a literal truckload of salted egg dishes will be brought to Punggol Field Road where all can sample different dishes brought by local eateries.

Organised by Unilever Food Solutions, this tasting session will be part of the upcoming Punggol North Inter-Racial and Religious Harmony Street Parade. In light of this theme, the food truck will also be presenting food from different cultures – Western, Indian, Malay, and Chinese. A total of four different dishes will be found at the food truck, each representing one culture. Here are the dishes you can expect to find when you are there:

  1. Salted Egg Prata by Springleaf Prata
  2. Salted Egg Keropok by KRUSH
  3. Salted Egg Tang Yuan by Chinatown Food
  4. Salted Egg Fries by Fish & Chicks

Hard core salted egg yolk fans may have already tried the prata, tang yuan, and fries. But the keropok from KRUSH is the first ever in Singapore, and only recently introduced, so don’t miss out on being the first few to get your hands on them!

Here is the best piece of news: no fee is required for the event, and all items from the salted egg food truck are free! You can also expect the entire street to be transformed into a colourful display of floats packed with cultural performances, games booths and fun giveaways. So ready your appetite and jio your friends and family down to Punggol for a evening of good time and food!

Address: Punggol Field Road (Salted Egg Shiok! food truck will be located in front of bus stop 175A)
Event date: 15 July 2018, 5pm to 8:30pm
