Popular American burger chain, Shake Shack, will be opening at Liat Towers on 5 August 2020 at 6pm. This will be its third outlet in Singapore, after Outram and JEWEL Changi Airport.Â
Taking over the space of American-themed diner, OverEasy, the new Shake Shack outlet is located right smack in the heart of Orchard Road. There’s also a separate drink kiosk outside the stall where customers can grab a drink from Shake Shack’s extensive drink menu that has been boosted by several new additions.
Hand-Shaken Lemonade ($5.30) is one of them and it combines fresh sliced fruit and tangy lemonade to make for a smooth and tasty drink. Diners can choose from a tropical selection of lychee, blueberry, and mango flavours.Â
Another addition to the menu is Sparkling Lemonade ($5.30), which features a heavy splash of fizzy soda water to a choice of passion fruit or raspberry lemonade. This would be a refreshing pick-me-up drink, especially in the sweltering heat.Â
The last addition to the drink menu is Cold Brew Coffee ($5.30). This well-balanced beverage is made by speciality local coffee roaster, Common Man Coffee, and will also be the first time that coffee can be found at a local Shake Shack.
Shake Shack is also coming up with two new concretes that will be exclusively available at the Orchard Road outlet. The concretes are a special frozen vanilla custard that’s blended with a bunch of ingredients. Keep an eye out for the Pie-Oh-My and Orchard Traffic Jam that ought to satisfy any sweet tooth lovers out there.Â
Pie-Oh-My ($7.50 for single) was our favourite concrete out of the lot and was made in partnership with local pastry sensation, TARTE by Cheryl Koh. This tasty dessert features the same well-loved vanilla custard, which is paired with bits of TARTE’s Treacle Pecan Pie. The result is an addictive treat that comes with a nice bit of texture from the chunks of pecans inside.Â
Savoury items remain the same here, and those who have not visited Shake Shack recently might want to try their latest Chick’ n Shack ($9.20) burger. This chicken burger features a whole chunk of crispy deep-fried chicken breast that’s paired with tangy herb mayo. Â
In true Shake Shack fashion, each stall is specially designed with a heavy touch of local flair. The Orchard Road outlet is inspired from the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and includes plenty of murals that are crafted by Singaporean artist, Danielle Tay.
The stall will also offer outdoor seating, a first among its Shake Shack outlets in Singapore.Â
Shake Shack Orchard Road will be open to the public on 5 August 2020 at 6pm, and looks set to give a nice boost to the dining scene in town. Â
