Sundae Royale Opens At Resorts World Sentosa With Famous Ice Cream And Churros

Sundae Royale opens at Resorts World Sentosa with famous desserts

If you love anything sweet, then add this new spot to your list of go-to dessert places. Helmed by French celebrity chef Paul Pairet, Sundae Royale is the latest F&B concept to join the roster of new restaurants at Resorts World Sentosa’s Weave mall. Specialising in European desserts, this new retro-themed ice cream parlour has got everything, from artisanal sundaes to churros!

If you haven’t heard of Chef Paul Pairet, he’s the man behind several prestigious restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Ultraviolet and Shanghai-famous Mr & Mrs Bund steakhouse.

But at Sundae Royale, Chef Pairet steps away from the meats. Instead, the menu is packed solely with sweet creations, rooted in nostalgic flavours and memories from his childhood past.

The star of the show is their house-made ice cream. Choose from several options: soft serves, sundaes, and sorbets, available in over 15 flavours.

The Pistachio Ice Cream ($8+) was a standout. Each bite was incredibly smooth and creamy, boasting a rich, nutty earthiness that any pistachio fan is sure to enjoy.

We also enjoyed the Strawberry Sorbet ($6+), a tart yet sweet treat that’s perfect for cooling down on a sunny day.

For something more substantial, get one of their sundaes.

The Caramel & Caramel Sundae ($12+) is a popular pick, starring a bittersweet caramel butter soy ice cream base, topped with crisp yet fluffy caramel popcorn, housemade honeycomb biscuits, and a sprinkle of crushed pecans.

There’s also the Lemon Tart Sundae ($12+), a creation inspired by Chef Pairet’s iconic Lemon & Lemon Tart at his Mr & Ms Bund restaurant.

The tart lemon curd ice cream paired nicely with the chunks of lemon, orange, and grapefruit layered within, made even better by a generous piping of chantilly, AKA light whipped cream, and the crunch from the balls of sable crust and freeze-dried passionfruit bits scattered on top.

While you’re here, don’t miss out on their pastries such as the Peanut Butter French Toast ($14+): a fluffy piece of toast slathered with velvety peanut butter pastry cream and peanuts, topped with a toasty, caramalised finish.

Otherwise, go for The Good Churros, available a la carte for $6+ or with a side of ice cream or hot chocolate for $4+.

Each batch is cooked to order in a special fryer to achieve that fluffy interior and crisp bite.

Sundae Royale is located at Weave, a four-minute walk from Resorts World Station.
