Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to start planning for all the feasts you’re going to throw. One of the essential dishes to have for those is, of course, yusheng. If you’re looking for an affordable option with quality ingredients, look no further than Sushi Express’ Good Luck Yusheng Set, available for $39.80.
The Good Luck Yusheng Set, suitable for four to six people, features all 14 ingredients that the dish typically requires, packaged neatly for collection. You can look forward to the eight pieces of Norwegian salmon in this set, which are air-flown from the Scandinavian country for optimal freshness.
There are a bunch of add-ons you can opt for to make your yusheng even more luxurious. First up, we have the Good Luck Yusheng Set + 8 pcs Salmon ($45.80), where a further $6 (U.P. $8.80) adds eight more salmon pieces to your set, bringing the total salmon count to a whopping 16.
And then there’s the Good Luck Yusheng Set + 4 pcs Abalone Isoyaki ($48.80), which includes four pieces of fresh and chewy abalone. These are boiled with mirin and soy sauce to create a rich, savoury flavour. For the abalone isoyaki and the additional eight salmon pieces, opt for the Good Luck Yusheng Set + 8 pcs Salmon + 4 pcs Abalone Isoyaki ($53.80) instead.
The Good Luck Yusheng Set will have to be pre-ordered at least two working days in advance, then self-collected at the Sushi Express, 争鲜gogo, and Sushi Plus of your choice.
Should you pre-order between 15 January 2024 to 31 January 2024 and pay using a DBS/POSB Credit or Debit Card, you’ll get six pieces of imitation abalone free with your order. That’s a lot of variety you can add to the centrepiece of your Chinese New Year gathering.
Do note that the collection period for the yusheng set is from 1 February 2024 to 25 February 2024. Collections on 9 February 2024, Chinese New Year’s eve and 20 February 2024 must be done before 3pm.
What’s more, the purchase of any yusheng set entitles you to these gorgeous red packets featuring an adorable dragon mascot.
Yusheng preorders at 争鲜gogo will also get you a free deck of playing cards, which has a similar design to the red packets. If you’re ordering from Sushi Express or Sushi Plus, however, you’d need to be a Sushi Express member to redeem the cards—you can do so by downloading the app on Google Play or the App Store.
