Takashimaya’s Hokkaido Fair Returns With Loaded Seafood Bento, Strawberry Daifuku And More

Takashimaya’s Hokkaido Food Fair is now on till 28 July 2025

FYI: Takashimaya’s Hokkaido food fair is back for a limited time only, from now till 28 July 2025! Savour the flavours of Hokkaido at Takashimaya Square, which sits on basement two of Takashimaya Shopping Centre. You’ll find a diverse range of products from desserts and omiyage—gift-worthy sets packed with delicious snacks—to premium seafood sourced from Hokkaido, Japan.

Head to Wanya Seafood Bento at Food Stop 2 for their Tomakomai ($46) bento, loaded with umami-laden uni and a thick slab of crab, atop a bed of short-grain rice.

In the same section, you’ll find Hakodate Tonbe. Snack on their Hokkaido Fried Chicken ($12), marinated in a flavourful soy sauce before it’s deep-fried to crispy perfection.

For desserts, head to Food Stop 1, where you’ll find Okabe Seifunjo. Grab a box of Strawberry Daifuku, priced at $20 for three pieces. These IG-worthy treats feature soft and chewy mochi stuffed with sweet red bean paste, and topped with a Hokkaido strawberry.

You can also dabao some Shiawase Catalana at Sweet Peaces Catalana at Food Stop 2. These are priced at $6.90 per piece, $20 for three, and $38 for six. For the uninitiated, the popular Hokkaido dessert is essentially a frozen version of creme brulee, starring the same creamy custard base and crisp layer of caramelised sugar. The main difference is that it’s served frozen—perfect for the warm weather in SG!

While you’re there, Rokkatei at Food Stop 1 offers their signature Marusei Butter Sandwich. Priced at $14 for a box of five, these butter cookies make a great gift.

These cookies were first released in 1977 to celebrate the rebranding of the company. Inspired by “Marusei Butter”, which is the first butter made in Tokachi, Hokkaido, they’ve become a well-known souvenir from the region.

These are just some of the highlights at the Takashimaya Hokkaido Fair. Head down before 28 July to check out the food fair before it’s too late!
