Great news for Easties: there’s a huge Ramadan food bazaar next to Tampines MRT Station, happening from now till 16 March 2025! For those arriving via train, it’s located right outside the open field, next to the Green Line exit.
This year’s edition sees a good mix of halal and Muslim-owned kiosks, along with home-based businesses in the retail section.
If you’re up to try something different from the regular bazaar bites, head to Ayam Golek Thai for their Kacang Pool (price TBD). For the uninitiated, kacang pool is a Malay-style bean stew cooked with spices and topped with ingredients such as onions, minced beef, and fried egg. It’s usually served with bread for dipping. You’ll also find nasi lemak, satay, tahu goreng and more at the same stall.
Cool down from the afternoon heat with an icy beverage from J8 Thai Milk Tea, where you can find cha yen and green milk tea affordably priced from $2.50 a cup.
For more sweet treats, visit NB—short for Noah Bazaar—for your baklava and kunafe fix. For those who don’t know, baklava is a popular Turkish dessert featuring filo pastry layers filled with chopped pistachio and sweetened with syrup. These desserts come in an assortment of flavours, so you’ll definitely be spoiled for choice here!
That’s not all: popular Muslim-owned eatery Supadeck is making an appearance with their loaded potato and mac and cheese. According to their banner, you can tuck into flavours such as Beef Chilli, Smoked Salmon, and Satay Chix. We’ll update this article with prices once we get more information.
Besides these night bazaar highlights, one can also expect other pasar malam staples including freshly made takoyaki and Ramly burgers.
If you’re visiting with the littles, your kids can look forward to a series of fun pasar malam activities, including a bouncy castle, claw machines and more!
