Great news for Easties: there’s a huge food fair next to Tampines MRT Station, happening from now till 14 December 2024! For those arriving via train, it’s located right outside the open field, next to the Green Line exit.
Expect food bazaar favourites such as Thai Fried Banana, priced at $4 for six pieces. The same stall is also selling crispy and chewy Sweet Potato Balls (price TBD), Mango Sticky Rice ($6), and Green Mango ($5), great for snacking on while you jalan jalan and shop.
If you love apam balik, head to ZR, where you’ll find these traditional Malay pancakes in trendy fillings such as Nutella ($6) and Oreo ($5). If you want something more old-school, we recommend the Corn Peanut Cheese ($7.50): buttery pancakes loaded with sweet corn kernels, peanut bits, and sliced cheese.
For more sweet treats, visit NB—short for Noah Bazaar—for your baklava and kunafe fix. For those who don’t know, baklava is a popular Turkish dessert featuring filo pastry layers filled with chopped pistachio and sweetened with syrup. These desserts come in an assortment of flavours, so you’ll definitely be spoiled for choice here!
That’s not all: there’s also a stall selling the trendy Kentang Spiral AKA tornado potato, priced at $10 for three. These savoury snacks are essentially fried potato thins on a stick, coated in your choice of seasoning: Wasabi, Sour Cream, Spicy Cheese, Salted Egg and more.
Besides these night bazaar highlights, one can also expect other pasar malam staples including freshly made tutu kueh, takoyaki, grilled squid and more.
The fair will also have live band performances from Fridays to Sundays, adding to the lively atmosphere.
ICYMI: PlayMade has launched their new taro bubble tea series, featuring fresh milk tea with orh nee, mochi and more.
