We last wrote about The Ice Cream Bar when they first launched in Kampong Bahru last October. This year, theyâve taken the brand right to the heart of town, opening on the first floor of 313 Somerset, next to the taxi stand and 7-Eleven, in the shop space that Ya Kun Kaya Toast used to occupy.

Founded in 2016 by a pair of friends who saw a gap in the market for boozy ice creams, the brand has since grown to four outlets in Malaysia, and this newest opening in Orchard brings it to two locations in Singapore.

Most notably, the Malaysian outlets of The Ice Cream Bar have got an ongoing, first-in-Malaysia collaboration with top local cocktail bars to create cocktail-inspired ice creams!
On the ice cream front, youâre looking at $4.90 for a single scoop, $8.80Â for a double, and $12.30 for a triple. Thereâs a top-up of $1 or $2 for premium flavours, depending on which you pick.

Look forward to their latest permanent flavour, Milo Guinness, which is said to be a bittersweet, malty concoction. Featuring the same stout is Guinness Pistachio, an alcoholic take on your favourite happy nut ice cream.

Then, there are the other favourites: Smoked Cognac, Baileys Brownies, and Kahlua Cheesecake, all of which are boozy takes on traditional ice cream flavours.

Pair any of these ice creams with their Buttermilk Waffles, or Charcoal Waffles, priced from $10.90 with a single scoop of ice cream.

Otherwise, double down on your mid-afternoon kick with an Affogato ($7.80), pairing your choice of ice cream with freshly brewed espresso.
