If you’re a fan of matcha, you’ll be glad to know that popular teahouse chain Tsujiri has just opened their largest outlet to date in a three-storey shophouse along Tanjong Pagar Road. Named TSUJIRI Premium Bakery, the new bakery-cafe boasts stunning Kyoto-style interiors, perfect for enjoying their signature drinks and desserts, alongside a range of outlet-exclusive bakes. FYI: The brand also has an outlet in Holland Village!

Upon walking in, you’ll be greeted by a display of cakes and pastries. Choose from a variety of flavours such as the Matcha Kurogama Cake ($11.80++ per slice), pairing an earthy matcha crumb with layers of velvety black sesame cream, and the Hojicha Berries Cake ($11.80++ per slice), blending roasted houjicha with tarty blueberries.

They’ve got freshly baked breads, too, including the outlet-exclusive Butter Shio Pan ($2.50++) and Matcha Bolo Bun (price TBC), the latter featuring a decadent slab of cream cheese, encased in a flaky and airy bun, covered in matcha powder.

Once you’re done ordering, head to the second and third floors for a beautiful seating area, complete with wooden minimalist interiors, tatami seating, and even a mini zen garden similar to the ones you’ll see in Japan.

The new TSUJIRI Premium Bakery is a quick four-minute walk from Maxwell MRT Station. It’s also within walking distance of Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. FYI, we recommend coming down early, as they are known to get quite busy during peak hours.
