Two Men Bagel House Opens Retro Bakery With Fresh Buns And Bagels From $3.50

Two Men Bagel House fans have something new to check out this weekend, with the opening of the popular bagel shop’s latest bakery, Two Men Bagel House Alley Bay. The retro-inspired kiosk is located in a heritage shophouse along Lorong Telok, a seven-minute walk from Clarke Quay MRT Station.

The takeaway concept is only open on weekdays from 8am to 3pm. If you can’t wait to dig into the bakes, there are a couple of seats right outside the bakery, available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Prices are kept affordable here, with nothing over $7. There are nine Asian-inspired bakes to choose from, with the cheapest item being the cheekily-named BS ($3.50), which stands for “Butter Sugar”. Another popular pick is the Fountain of Wealth ($4), which stars sweet cream cheese, garlic butter, and parsley stuffed in a bun.

Those who want something more savoury will enjoy The East Coast Plan ($5), comprising spam, fried egg, and spicy ketchup wrapped in bread—perfect for breakfast. Otherwise, go for The Sampan ($5), a zhnged-up version of the nostalgic hotdog buns commonly found at neighbourhood bakeries.

Since Two Men is known for their bagels, you can expect a small selection of bagel-like bakes, including two Bagel Bombes: The Pokeball ($6) and Kareoke ($4). The former features smoked salmon, scallion cream cheese, and pickled cucumber, while the latter is a spin on the classic Japanese curry with minced chicken, potato, and carrot.

If you’re in the mood for something heavier, get The Grandmaster ($7) instead, a sandwich with spicy fried chicken, spicy aioli, cheddar, and pickled cucumber, held between Two Men’s famous bagel.

That’s not all: you’ll also find coffee here to pair with your bakes, from $3.50 for a hot Black.

In related bagel news, Keen’s Bagelry has reopened in the CBD! The popular kiosk has loaded bagels under $20, including the Hashstack ($13), a brekkie bagelwich with Hokkaido milk scrambled egg, cheese, house-made truffle mayo, and hashbrowns. We highly recommend adding bacon ($3.50) to this.
