Ramen lovers are in for a treat this 16 August 2019, with Uma Uma offering diners a 1-for-1 deal on their ramen! This is in celebration of their seventh year in Singapore. Exclusively available at their Forum outlet, you get to choose from eight different types of ramen including crowd-favourite Mentaiko Ramen ($17++) and house-special Uma Uma Ramen ($16.80++).

Hailing from Fukuoka, Uma Uma is known for their traditional Hakata-style, MSG-free ramen, which boasts a rich and robust broth; the result of pork bones cooked over high heat for 10 to 12 hours.

Perfect for mentaiko lovers is their Mentaiko Ramen ($17). The mazesoba (dry ramen) is topped with mentaiko and pieces of sliced chashu, then garnished with finely sliced spring onions and shredded seaweed to give an additional crunchy texture. Toss them up together for a gooey but flavourful treat.

If you’re looking for something different from the traditional tonkotsu ramen, try Uma Uma’s variation on a well-loved classic with the Uma Uma Ramen ($16.80). Consisting of the restaurant’s signature tonkotsu broth, the broth is further enriched with spicy miso, giving an extra kick to the dish.
