Whether you’re a health-conscious foodie or simply feeling under the weather, look no further than Yuan Yang Spinach Soup for a hearty bowl of Michelin-approved spinach soup!

Yuan Yang Spinach Soup is owned and operated by Jina Saguna, a Thai national with 10 years of experience cooking the stall’s namesake dish.

With chef Jina spending over two hours each day preparing the soup base, it is no wonder that Yuan Yang Spinach Soup has three outlets islandwide and is a newly awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand stall. Their most popular outlet is located at Geylang Bahru Food Centre, and draws a considerable crowd during the lunchtime peak hour.

The stall has a small, focused menu, offering only three items. A favourite among customers is the Spinach Seafood Soup. For $4.50, you get a generous serving of shrimp, minced meat, and mushrooms, as well as an egg.

Another noteworthy dish is the Spinach Yong Tau Foo Soup ($4.50), which features six pieces of yong tau foo, including tau pok, tau kee, and fish balls, along with bits of salted egg. Characteristic of any yong tau foo order, this dish also comes with two dipping sauces—one sweet and one spicy—to enjoy your ingredients with.

Last but certainly not least, there is Spinach Century & Salted Egg Soup ($4.50). Arguably the most pared-down version of the three, the soup stars century and salted egg, minced pork and mushroom.

Every bowl of soup comes with a carb of your choice, so you don’t have to worry about feeling unsatiated after your meal. Pick from a variety of noodles such as macaroni, mee tai mak, Koka noodles and thin bee hoon to add to your soup, or get a good ol’ bowl of rice instead.
