7-Eleven is known for bringing in some of the most sought-after, limited-run offerings, from the likes of Taiwanese sesame oil chicken cup noodles to ready-to-eat Korean dishes. Come 2022, the convenience store has kicked off the new year with a brand new lineup of ready-to-eat-items, available from 5 January! Launching in celebration of the upcoming CNY season, the menu includes all-new items such as the halal-certified Sze Chuan Style Minced Chicken Noodles (Dan Dan Mian), affordably priced at $4.50Â a serving.

The noodles in the 7-Eleven dan dan mian are drenched in a spicy, fragrant meat sauce made with the convenience store’s very own blend of 11 spices and seasonings, including yellow bean paste, peanuts, and preserved mustard vegetable AKA haam choy. Topped with juicy chicken bits and greens, this is one dish you have to try if you love dan dan mian!

Those who prefer something lighter can try the Double Boiled Chicken La Mian ($4.30), which is also halal-certified. It spotlights a collagen-rich chicken soup base that’s cooked at high pressure for that smooth and gao finish. This comforting dish is finished off with leafy greens and wolfberries for good measure.

For a Japanese flair, order the Ozoni ($3.20), a yuzu-infused Japanese broth typically served over the New Year. This light-tasting dish includes Japanese fish cake, shiitake mushrooms, chicken cubes, and chewy mochi swimming in a dashi stock with refreshing citrus notes.
If you have last-minute guests to host this CNY, 7-Eleven also stocks exclusive desserts that are imported from Japan. The list includes the Double Layered Custard Cream Puff ($1.90), Milk Cream Roll Cake ($1.90), and Vanilla Mille Crepe Cake ($4), all of which make great post-lunch treats.
Here’s another piece of good news: get $0.50 off the Ozoni or Vanilla Mille Crepe Cake when you buy the Sze Chuan Style Minced Chicken Noodles or Double Boiled Chicken La Mian! For more information and updates on the menu, visit 7-Eleven’s Facebook page.
