Keeping up with the Kakao Friends frenzy, 7-Eleven is now selling Jjajang Topokki—featuring one of their ever-popular Kakao Friends cartoon characters, Ryan. While finding a quick fix for your hunger pangs, this instant sweet-savoury Kakao Friends tteokbokki dish also makes for an IG-worthy experience.

The Kakao Friends tteokbokki is priced at $4 per cup. This 120g packaging comes printed with an amused Muzi eating the snack. Inside, you will find three packets of ingredients: tteokbokki, jjajang seasoning powder, and adorable Ryan-face flakes.

The cup offers a quick and convenient snack. For those uninitiated to the world of instant tteokbokki, just know that if you can prepare cup noodles, then you can easily cook this up as well. Empty the ingredients into the cup and add water before popping it in the microwave. This simple, two to three minutes process can provide you with a quick meal replacement or midday pick-me-up snack.

Although not a limited-time offer, 7-Eleven does say it’s while stocks last. Go get it before your friends beat you to an IG story update!

7-Eleven only brought one of the three flavours in this exclusive snack range, which includes Spicy Topokki and Cheese Topokki.

Jjajang tteokbokki, aka black-bean flavour rice cakes, is a popular Korean street snack. If the word “jjajang” rings a bell to you, it is because it is the same sauce you get when you order a bowl of jjajangmyeon. When combined with the chewy rice cakes, the jjajang tteokbokki provides an addictive salty and savoury flavour which is at the same time filling, thanks to the carb-loaded snack.
