These chocolatey treats are now available at all leading supermarkets, priced at $10.90 for a 180g box.

Each box comes with around 20 individually wrapped chocolate truffles, which works out to around $0.50 a piece.

Unwrap the golden packaging and you’ll find a diamond-shaped, angular milk chocolate shell, encasing Toblerone’s iconic honey and almond nougat filling.

While I enjoyed the crunch from the nougat pieces, which contrasted nicely with the creamy chocolate, I found the whole thing a tad too cloying for my liking. Perhaps a dark chocolate shell would work better to complement the honeyed nougat filling.

Interestingly, these truffles were sweeter than the classic Toblerone Swiss Chocolate Bar.

Nonetheless, the new Toblerone Truffles would make a great gift for those with a sweet tooth.

You can get them at major supermarkets, including NTUC FairPrice and Cold Storage. FYI: the latter has an ongoing promotion where a box is priced at only $9.95 for a limited time!

Two years ago, we featured the popular Toblerone Cheesecake from 7-Eleven. This ready-to-consume dessert featured layers of milk chocolate and almond nougat between creamy cheesecake layers. The highly sought-after cake is no longer available, but we hope it’ll be back on the shelves soon!

In other exciting dessert content, Sweedy Patisserie has rolled out a mochi bento cake lineup, priced from $14.80. There are five flavours available, including Horlicks Dinosaur, which turned out to be our favourite. You can also read our Sumopocky coverage for adorable Jellycat-inspired macarons by a home baker in Dakota.
