Durian lovers, you are in for a treat! Sunshine Bakeries has unveiled its latest speciality—the Mao Shan Wang Durian Milk Bun. Now available on the shelves of all major supermarkets and convenience stores island-wide, the bun is priced at $2.50. Owing to early-season yields, daily quantities are limited to ensure that customers enjoy the highest quality standards.

With durian season still a few months away, the exclusive “First Taste” release features real Mao Shan Wang filling from the rare early-March harvest, capturing the freshest flavours of the undisputed “King of Fruits”.

It is made with 50% more fragrant durian filling, generously packed into its signature pillowy Hokkaido milk bun. The filling is described to carry smooth, custard-like creaminess, complemented by its rich and bittersweet notes.

Most importantly, for those worried about the lingering scent and stickiness, fret not. This new creation is an easy-to-enjoy, versatile treat—perfect for a quick breakfast, an afternoon pick-me-up, or a snack on the go, without any of the usual fuss that is associated with eating durian.

The Mao Shan Wang Durian Milk Bun is just one highlight in Sunshine Bakeries’ lineup of unique bread flavours. Beyond classics such as Butter Sugar, Belgian Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla, fans can explore more crafted creations such as the Dark Rye Komugi Loaf, layered with grains, seeds, and a subtle hint of maple aroma.
Japanese milk bread enthusiasts will also enjoy the Butter Shokupan Loaf, also available in Shiro Barley and Purple Sweet Potato variations for an extra indulgent twist. Their Poketto sandwich range is equally tempting, with options like Peanut Butter, Strawberry Cream Cheese, and even Bolognese.
For other food-related launches, KFC is set to introduce their Samyang Buldak Carbonara Double Down on 8 April, while Wong Fu Fu has brought back its XXL Milk Tea, which consists of 5 litres of milk tea and 1kg of toppings.
