New Gelato Cafe By Famous Pastry Chef Opens In Buona Vista With $6 Scoops

Sweet tooths in NUS have a new dessert spot to check out—Apres Gelato by Le Matin Patisserie has just opened at Supper Stretch! It offers creamy housemade gelato with a wide variety of experimental flavours and creative toppings, with one scoop going for $6 and a double for $11.

The cafe offers eight ice cream flavours, each topped with a special garnish. Expect unique flavours such as Brown Butter Jerusalem Artichoke, featuring a deep, caramelly brown butter flavour and finished with a toasted artichoke chip.

For something nutty and toasty, try their Toasted Rice flavour, which comes topped with a puffed rice crisp. For something more filling, we recommend pairing your gelato with a serving of crispy Brown Butter Waffles ($6).

For something more French-inspired, opt for their parfaits instead. Their Sticky Date Toffee Parfait ($13) features a heaping swirl of vanilla soft serve sitting on a date sponge cake and salted date toffee layer, topped with caramelised pecans and malt brulee.

For those who are into refreshing fruit flavours, go for their Strawberry Shortcake Parfait ($12), paired with big juicy strawberries and a slab of strawberry Swiss roll cake. The Mango Cheesecake Parfait ($12), garnished with a whole slice of Basque cheesecake and piled high with fresh mangoes and pomelo segments, is also a solid pick.
