It’s no coincidence that stressed spelt backwards is desserts—I can always count on a sweet treat to brighten my day. Now, we have good reason to eat our sorrows away: Baskin-Robbins has recently launched three new flavours as part of their Japan Summer Series, available only for a limited time.

A longtime fan-favourite, Popping Shower (price TBD) is making its debut in Singapore. It’s been hailed as Baskin-Robbins Japan’s number one flavour for years. Fun fact: it’s also the top pick of popular Japanese figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu!

This whimsical flavour combines milky white chocolate and refreshing mint ice cream with red and green popping candies, which crackle and fizz with every lick. It’s a nostalgic, playful treat that’s also fun to eat.

Adding to the fun are two more flavours: Matcha (price TBD) and Musk Melon (price TBD). Matcha aficionados would be pleased to know that the ice cream is made with authentic Kyoto Uji matcha, so you know you’re getting the real deal.

If matcha isn’t your cup of tea, the latter is a fruitier option that sounds just as enticing—it’s made with premium musk melon from Japan.

If you’re spoilt for choice or just want to try them all, the Japan Triple Fun Scoop ($8.50) is the way to go. Here, you get all three flavours in one waffle cone.

The series doesn’t end here. Baskin-Robbins also offers the massive Japan Trio Waffle ($13.90) that sees all three flavours atop a waffle for the ultimate indulgent dessert.
