“Dine like a Beast, Social like Butterflies” is the tagline of Asian fusion restaurant Beast & Butterflies, and though that’s a clunky expression, it nevertheless captures what the establishment is all about.
Located in M Social Singapore, a four-star hotel in Robertson Quay, Beast & Butterflies has stylish and comfortable interiors that make it perfect for socialising over a meal, and its much-raved about food will undoubtedly whet your appetite.
When it comes to Asian eats, Beast & Butterflies has numerous exciting dishes for you to try. Be sure to get the Crispy Pork Knuckle (from $22++), an oven-roasted delight that’s said to be exceptionally crunchy and juicy. Dip it in the house-made nam jim sauce for an added piquant flavour.
There’s also the Lobster Porridge ($40++), which is served in a stone bowl to give it a certain panache. Featuring half a lobster and a piece of braised baby abalone, this rich porridge dish is said to have been simmered for over eight hours, leading to a broth that’s brimming with umami.

As for dishes of the Western variety, there’s a range of steaks, pasta, and seafood dishes to choose from. One of the must-tries is the hulking Beast Cheeseburger ($23++), which features a succulent Wagyu beef patty, grilled back bacon slices, orange cheddar cheese, all sandwiched between potato buns.
Those who enjoy fish should try the Pan-seared Barramundi ($27++), whose tender meat is bathed in blue cheese sauce that imbues it with a rich and creamy goodness.
