When in Japan, I’m rarely without a can or a bottle of BOSS Coffee when I need a quick caffeine pick-me-up. Tasty, quick, and easy, BOSS Coffee drinks are sold in convenience stores, vending machines, and supermarkets around the country, so it’s never a struggle to find. If you’ve got the same fond memories of the brand as I do, then you’ll be excited to learn that BOSS Coffee bottles are now officially retailed in Singapore, available at 7-Eleven outlets islandwide.

BOSS Coffee is the number one ready-to-drink coffee brand in Japan. Founded by the Suntory Group, the label recently turned 30 years old, and its popularity shows no signs of waning.

For sceptics who doubt that ready-to-drink coffee can actually be good, let BOSS Coffee flip the script. All their beverages are made with Arabica beans, resulting in smooth, easy-to-drink brews. To ensure that you’re getting the most out of your coffee, the brand deploys their signature Flash Brew Technology to maintain taste and quality.

This means BOSS Coffees are first brewed hot so all the aromas from the roast are released, then chilled rapidly to lock in their flavour, before they’re bottled

Two flavours are now available in Singapore: the Latte ($2.50) and the Black No Sugar ($2.50).

Sold in 250ml PET bottles, these are super handy to grab when you’re on the go, especially since they’re sold so conveniently at 7-Eleven outlets. If you’re rushing for a morning meeting or class, for example, and have no time to brew yourself a proper coffee or stand in line at your usual cafe, BOSS Coffee is the way to go.

The Latte is the one to go for if you’re ordering iced lattes on the reg. It’s got just the right amount of milk, but the real star here is the robust, aromatic coffee. Beyond taste, the drink is smooth, creamy, and a cut above many of the bottled coffees we have tried.

Long blacks and Americanos are another popular coffee pick of late, so if you’re team kosong, try their Black No Sugar option. Far from being overwhelmingly bitter, this balanced black coffee hits the spot at a cheaper price than a Starbucks Iced Americano.

According to the brand, the latter is also great for people who are on keto diets.

Keep your eye out for BOSS Coffee drinks the next time you’re at 7-Eleven! Here’s hoping they bring in more of their extended range in the future.

As part of their launch, BOSS Coffee is offering a buy one get one free promotion, available till 28 March!
