Cat Welfare Society has a cake picnic on 2 August 2025

Cake lovers, you’ll want in on this. The Cat Welfare Society is organising a Cake Picnic for one day only, on 2 August 2025. The event will take place at A Public Living Room at Pearl’s Hill Terrace, with two timeslots: 11:30am to 1pm, and 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

For the uninitiated, the viral cake picnic concept was started by baker Elisa Sunga in San Francisco. Their first event took place in April 2024 to much fanfare, leading to larger events and tours with stops in multiple cities. The idea was simple: no cake, no entry.

This upcoming event in Singapore takes inspiration from the original cake picnic concept, but instead of using cake as a “barter”, you’ll have to donate a minimum of $10 to enter. Each participant is entitled to three slices of cake, and they can choose from over 60 flavours.
Homegrown bakery Edith’s Patisserie is the main partner for the cake picnic, so fans can look forward to indulging in their bakes.

There’ll also be hot and iced coffee served, so you can grab a caffeinated pick-me-up between rounds of cake.
