1. OLLA Specialty Coffee

Located 10 minutes from Clementi MRT Station, OLLA Specialty Coffee serves up Western-style brunch with a variety of drinks. Their most popular brunch selections are the Smashing Avo w Scrambled Eggs ($14.80++) and the Shakshouka Baked Eggs ($15.80++). Pair your meal with their Pourover Filter Coffee ($9++) or the Signature Honey Hibiscus Iced Shaken Tea ($6.50++). 2. Xin Peng La Mian Xiao Long Bao


Right outside Clementi Mall lies Xin Peng La Mian Xiao Long Bao, hidden inside a kopitiam. They sell affordable Shanghainese food, with their most popular item being the Xiao Long Bao. For $5, you get six pieces of juicy pork-filled dumplings. Try their Chicken Chop Noodles as well—priced at $5, you get a huge bowl of noodles with a generous amount of chicken, black fungus as well as some leafy vegetables. The ingredients complement each other well, and the affordable price keeps one coming back for more.

3. Fragrance Paradise Ma La Xiang Guo

Situated at a kopitiam beside the bus interchange is Fragrance Paradise Ma La Xiang Guo. This stall’s ma la xiang guo is decently priced, and they offer a wide range of ingredients including various types of meat ($3.30), seafood ($3.50), vegetables ($1.50), mushrooms ($2.80), and instant noodles ($1.50). If you’re looking to satisfy your ma la xiang guo cravings, this is one of the options you can consider.

4. O.BBa Jjajang Express


Westies can now get their Korean food fix at O.BBa Jjajang Express’s Clementi outlet! Though their shop is located inside a kopitiam, don’t be fooled by it as their food is authentic and affordably priced! Try their Jjampong priced at $10.50, which comes with seafood such as mussels and prawns. Alternatively, they also offer Jjajangmyeon, Korean noodles in black bean sauce at $7.90. If you’re looking for small bites, get their Kimchi Dumplings, priced at $3.90 for 3 pieces

5. Springleaf Prata Place

If you’re looking for a 24-hour supper spot, Springleaf Prata Place is here to satisfy your cravings. 6. Hello! Brew Bar

Hello! Brew Bar is a relatively new store to join the bubble tea scene in Singapore. Despite only being here for less than a year, they offer an extensive menu with an array of drinks. Their bestsellers include the Roasted Creme Brulee Pudding Milk Tea, Coconut Shake with Coconut Pudding, and the Honeydew Sago, all affordably priced at $3.90. You can also choose to upsize your drink for just $1

7. Little Myanmar Halal Foods


Little Myanmar Halal Foods is a hidden gem in Clementi. They have a range of interesting Burmese dishes to check out,  such as the Creamy Soft Tofu Noodle ($6) and the Myanmar Coconut Laksa ($6), both of which are uncommon in Singapore. The food is homely and comforting, and it is recommended by many Burmese living here!

8. Boon Kee Wanton Noodles

Located inside Clementi 448 Market and Food Centre is Boon Kee Wanton Noodle, a family-run stall that has been popular amongst residents. As the name suggests, they are famous for their Wanton Noodles, which cost $4 and $5 for the small and big sizes respectively. If you’re looking for a light bite, you can also opt for their sides, such as the Fried Dumpling ($5 for five pieces)

9. Li Yuan Mee Pok

Li Yuan Mee Pok dishes out unique noodle creations, such as their Japanese Fusion mee pok in flavours such as Miso ($7) and Shoyu ($8). For $10, you can get their Char Siew Japanese Mee Pok in your preferred flavour. If fusion food is not for you, you can also choose their Crayfish Mee Pok or their Large Prawn Noodle, both priced at $10

10. 308 Fish Steamboat and Zi Char

308 Fish Steamboat and Zi Char is the perfect place for family gatherings during occasions such as Chinese New Year. Depending on the type of fish you order, prices for the Signature Fish Steamboat start from $70. The fish is deboned and served separately. Aside from that, they also offer a myriad of zi char dishes to share, such as Hot Plate Deer Meat (from $20), Yam Ring ($25), and Crab Meat Shark Fin Soup (from $40). 11. Mee Bagus


Mee Bagus is a Muslim-friendly stall selling renditions of local noodle dishes. At $7.30, the Mee Bagus Special is an upgraded version of halal bak chor mee. Ingredients include abalone squid slices, chicken breast meat, fishballs, meatballs, mushrooms, and a lava egg. For spice lovers, you can try the Volcano Ayam ($7.30), served with their volcano sambal on top of the above-mentioned ingredients. There are also side dishes such as Crispy Wonton ($5.50 for 12 pieces) if you want a small bite. Although the shop is located inside a kopitiam, it is decorated to make it feel like you’re dining in a modern, casual restaurant instead.

12. MADLYGOOD


Situated within The Clementi Mall lies MADLYGOOD, a cafe selling indulgent waffles, crepes, and more. They are known for their Original Buttermilk Waffles (from $11.50), in particular the Pistachio Creme Waffles ($16.50). Alternatively, opt for their Nutella Brownie Crepe ($14.50) if you like chocolate-laden desserts. 

MADLYGOOD also offers a variety of drinks—caffeinated and non-caffeinated—for you to choose from. These include their Milkshakes (from $9.50), Kombucha (from $6), or their Espresso (from $4.50) options.

13. Soon Lee Porridge


Soon Lee Porridge is well-known among residents for serving up hearty bowls of Hainanese Porridge. They offer three types of porridge, namely pork, chicken, or fish, and prices range from $4 to $6 regardless of the type of protein you choose. There is also an option to add an egg for an additional $0.50. Soon Lee’s porridge is generally thicker than other places, and contains fried shallots and green onions as well.

14. Huang Tu Di Xi’An Delights


Focusing on Shaanxi Province cuisine, one Xi’An native set up Huang Tu Di Xi’An Delights to bring said cuisine to our shores. Located inside 321 Clementi, they specialise in the 3-in-1 Biang Biang noodles ($11.80) but also offer other options such as Zha Jiang Noodles ($9.50) and Rou Jia Mo ($6.80), otherwise known as the Meat Bun. The food is highly raved about by many since their portion is said to be huge. Most of their food is made to be really spicy, but you can opt to change it according to your taste.

15. Soi 47


If you’re looking to satiate your Thai food cravings, look no further than Soi 47! Located two stops away from Clementi MRT Station, Soi 47 is a convenient option for those living in the West. Their popular options include Claypot Tang Hoon with Prawns ($14.50), Steamed Seabass with Thai Lime Sauce ($22), and Pineapple Fried Rice ($6.50). Soi 47 also caters to those with a sweet tooth, selling renowned desserts such as Red Ruby ($3.50) and Mango Sticky Rice ($5.50). What’s special about this place is that they curate a variety of Craft Beers On Tap from both local and international breweries, with prices starting from $12 during their happy hour. Alternatively, they also offer non-alcoholic drinks such as soft drinks ($3) and mocktails ($8.90) too. 17. MEET Noodles


If hand-pulled noodles are right up your alley, you have to try MEET Noodles in Clementi which specialises in authentic Lanzhou la mian. The Braised Beef Noodle ($7.50) is packed with a robust flavour and stars ultra tender chunks of beef. But if you prefer something spicier, get the Sour Spicy Noodle ($7.90/$9.50) or Hot Chilli Oil Noodle ($5.80). The former consists of chewy noodles sitting in a fiery and tangy broth, while the latter is flat and dry noodles coated in a chilli oil mix.
