If you’ve been to The Coastal Settlement near Changi, you’ll be familiar with the pet-friendly restaurant, bar, and cafe that has graced many an Instagram feed. High tea lovers will be happy to know that The Coastal Settlement has now introduced daily high tea, priced at $19++ per diner, with a minimum of two diners.
The high tea set is available from 3:30pm to 5:30pm daily, and comes with a free flow of coffee, or tea. It has both sweets, and savouries, spanning Asian- and Western-inspired bites.
Served on a double-tiered dessert stand, the snacks in The Coastal Settlement’s high tea set include, per diner, an assortment of macarons, mango panna cotta, strawberries with a Nutella dip, assorted cakes, ma la fish balls, salmon ceviche, a mini curry puff, pain au chocolat, as well as a ham, cheese, and tomato croissant.
Considering the price point, it seems to be a decent spread if you’re looking for an affordable high tea set. What’s more, the decor and location of The Coastal Settlement help us imagine ourselves removed from the humdrum of reality, especially apt in an age where we are marooned on our little island.
If you’re looking for other nibbles, the high tea menu at The Coastal Settlement has other light bites, thin-crust pizzas, and desserts that you can order a la carte as well. These include the likes of Har Cheong Gai ($16++), the ubiquitous Truffle Fries ($15++), TCS Waffle Stack ($16++), and Chocolate Lava Cake ($16++).
