Emart24 Opens In Queenstown With Popular Korean Street Food And Snacks

Korean convenience store Emart24 opens at Margaret Drive

There was a lot of hype surrounding Emart24 when they first landed on our little red dot, and Singaporeans wasted no time rushing down to stock up on legit Korean snacks and ready-to-eat Korean meals.

While the famous Korean convenience store already has two outlets in Singapore—one in Jurong Point and one in NEX, they’ve just announced the launch of their newest outlet at Margaret Drive, much to the delight of Queenstown residents. This third outlet is located right next to Margaret Drive Hawker Centre.

Emart24 Queenstown occupies a relatively smaller unit as compared to its sister branches, but customers can still expect an extensive product range with the likes of Korean banchan, coffee, street snacks, and ready-to-eat meals such as gimbap and kimchi sandwiches.

The outlet also has a Korean instant noodle cooking machine, in case you’d like to enjoy your ramyeon on the spot.

If you aren’t familiar with Emart24’s offerings, we recommend you try their famed Handmade Corn Dog ($4.20), fresh-fried daily with an uber-crunchy exterior. Another must-try is the Ttebokbokki ($4.90), featuring tteokbokki that’s simmered for two hours in their secret, spicy gochujang blend. You can also add on toppings such as seaweed chicken, mandu, and eggs, for a fee.

Those who’ve been to Emart24 Malaysia may also be familiar with their signature Cupbap ($5.20), AKA bibimbap in a cup. This snack is available here too, and comprises snack-sized portions of bibimpap packed with a protein of your choice, buttered corn, fried kimchi, rice, and japchae.

Korean fried chicken fans can try their Boneless Fried Chicken (from $15) too, which is available in various flavours, including Honey Soy and Yang Nyum.

For something more filling, get their Dosirak (from $10.50), AKA Korean lunchboxes. Their dosirak are made fresh daily and come with a selection of banchan for a more complete meal. We recommend the Beef Bulgogi and Bossam, the latter comprising slices of fatty pork belly.

The Korean mart has also recently launched a new spicy menu over at their Jurong and NEX outlets, so you can head down to try it.

For more new openings, check out Compose Coffee, a popular Korean coffee chain that is opening in Suntec City. Famous Korean restaurant Um Yong Baek is also opening at Far East Square with traditional Busan pork and rice soup.

Address: 38 Margaret Drive, #01-10, Singapore 141038
