This CNY, Far East Malls is offering a series of attractive promotions including cashback and bonus vouchers, so there’s no better time to shop than now.Â
Spend a minimum of $88 and get $5 cashback, or a minimum of $188 in a single receipt to get $10 cashback in Far East Malls e-Vouchers. You can easily hit these benchmarks by shopping for bai nian apparel, homeware to spruce up your living space post-spring cleaning, or just treating your fam to a meal at any of the mall’s restaurants.
As a bonus, you can pay with a Standard Chartered Credit Card at Orchard Central and Clarke Quay Central, to receive an additional $5 e-Voucher, with a minimum spend of $88.Â
While you shop, you’re accumulating points, so stack them up in order to redeem yusheng rewards in the shopFarEast App from some of the malls’ most renowned Chinese restaurants.Â
There’s the Prosperity Yu Sheng (U.P. $68+) that diners can redeem from TungLok Signatures at Clarke Quay Central. This features premium smoked Norwegian salmon alongside a medley of fresh vegetables, including yam and sweet potato shreds, as well as TungLok’s signature HPB-certified, lower-in-sugar yusheng sauce to toss everything together.Â
If you’re shopping at HillV2, there are two eateries you can redeem your yusheng from.Â
There’s Jiak Modern Tzechar, a modern zichar restaurant offering up their Jiak 12 Head Abalone Yu Sheng (U.P. $62.80) for redemption.Â
This set contains succulent rounds of 12-head abalone, as well as a vibrant medley of greens.
While you’re there, enjoy their dine-in CNY menu. Their Happiness Set ($528) stars a handful of elevated wok-fried classics, and feeds up to 10 people. Within, there’s the Broccoli with Abalone and Mushroom, a fantastic way to get your greens. Each serving comes with blanched, lightly seasoned broccoli, topped with tender mushrooms and abalone rounds, dressed with a classic soy-based sauce.
The Golden Sands Crispy Chicken is another must-try. This elevated take on salted egg yolk chicken sees chicken pieces deep-fried, skin-on, till golden brown, then tossed in an aromatic sauce that coats each piece just so.
MrSeven is similarly offering their house-made MrSeven Prosperity Yusheng (U.P $58) as part of the shopFarEast App rewards.Â
Their set has all the classic trimming, including a heaping serve of smoked salmon and golden pillow crackers.
If you’ve yet to dine at MrSeven, give their unique, fusion fare a try. Their Cheesy Pork Skewers ($16++) are a house signature, elevating moo ping with a stretchy mozzarella middle.Â
For mains, share their Sambal Seabass ($38) and Dry Laksa ($19). The former sees a whole seabass cooked in a fiery sambal, while the latter is MrSeven’s aromatic spin on the Peranakan dish, complete with huge prawns.
Orchard Central shoppers can redeem their Dancing Crab Yu Sheng (U.P. $58+) from Dancing Crab.
The yusheng comprises fresh seafood such as succulent lobster meat, smoked Norwegian salmon and Hokkaido scallops. There are also unique veggie additions, ranging from cherry tomatoes to purple cabbage for added sweetness.
Finally, East Treasure Chinese Restaurant at Woods Square is offering their Fish/Seafood “Abundance Throughout The Year” Yusheng (U.P. $68).
The set comes with a colourful medley of greens, golden pillow crackers, and your choice of either seafood or sashimi as a topping.
East Treasure Chinese Restaurant is a great pick for family gatherings, especially over CNY. The restaurant has a number of festive set menus that start from $398+ for six, going up to $1388++ for ten.
You can expect a variety of delicious, comforting Chinese dishes, including Shredded Kampong Chicken Marinated in Oyster Sauce, as well as Stewed Abalone & Pork Tendon Serve in Clay Pot.
