If you’re like me and consider Suntec City your go-to weekend spot, you’ll be excited to hear that the popular Food Republic in the mall’s basement has just reopened after a major makeover. The revamped space now features plenty of new stalls, serving everything from Hong Kong roast duck to KL-style chilli pan mee!

There are eight new stalls in the mix, including London Fat Roast, a Food Republic-exclusive concept by the renowned London Fat Duck.

Their Boneless Wagyu Roast Duck Rice (from $9.80) features thick and juicy slices of their signature roasted Irish duck, served alongside fluffy rice, braised peanuts, and fresh choy sum.

Another standout is The Noodle Memories. Founded by two young KL-born hawkers, they’re known for their authentic KL-style chilli pan mee, featuring handmade noodles and a fiery, secret dried chilli mix that packs a serious punch.

If you’re not sure of what to get, go for their Specialty Dry Chilli Noodle ($5.50), featuring a generous serving of noodles topped with minced pork, black fungus, fried shallots, crispy beancurd skin, Chinese cabbage, and a silky poached egg.

Noodle fans can also check out First Street Fried Prawn Noodles for their delicious plates of hokkien mee.

Expect to find their popular Big Prawn Fried Prawn Noodles ($12) here, starring wok-fried noodles, tossed with plump prawns, squid, fresh calamansi, and fragrant pieces of crispy pork lard.

While you’re here, don’t miss out on the crowd-favourite Yuen Kee Dumpling. This popular dumpling stall is known for their handmade dumplings, including the Shrimp and Crab Roe Pork Wonton, which pairs springy noodles with six wonton, filled with juicy shrimp, pork, and rich crab roe in a thin and delicate wrapper.

Pro-tip: head down between 8 January to 10 January 2026 and spend a minimum of $12 in a single receipt to pick a sure-win prize from their lucky draw, including Food Republic vouchers, BreadTalk Group Rewards credits and more!
