Fufu Pot made waves online when they opened in 2021, thanks to their affordable personal soup pots in a wide range of flavours. Good news: the popular Plaza Singapura restaurant is now back with an exciting launch! Available from now till 30 April 2024 is the Splash & Savour Bundle, a Thai-themed set that feeds two diners.
Priced at $58++, this new bundle stars two individual soup pots: Red Tom Yum and Green Curry. This works out to just under $30++ per person—a steal in our books. Both soup pots are cooked in-house every day for many hours, so you’re getting maximum flavour here. That’s not all: you can also get free unlimited refills of the original soup bases here!
You also get a Seafood Platter and Assorted Vegetable Platter, both generously portioned so there’s plenty of liao to dunk into both soups!
We were impressed with the amount of seafood in the platter; you get two snow crab claws, tiger prawns, barramundi slices, scallops, clams, chicken thigh pieces, fishballs with roe, and prawn paste with tobiko.Â
If you are a Thai food fan, you’ll be pleased with the Red Tom Yum soup here. This spicy and tangy number was fragrant with notes of lemongrass, with a slight tinge of sweetness to offset the heat.Â
Pair this with instant noodles and the assortment of fresh seafood to DIY your rendition of tom yum mama soup!Â
Then there’s the Green Curry Soup Pot, perfect for those who don’t have a good spice tolerance. Brimming with actual kaffir lime leaves, this creamy and milky broth was packed with flavour, despite being just mildly spicy.Â
The fresh prawns and crab claws were a great accompaniment to the aromatic green curry soup, adding a layer of seafood-like sweetness to the broth.Â
To round off the meal, you get a bowl of Thai Tea Bingsu to share with your dining companion.Â
Featuring Thai tea-flavoured shaved ice and Thai tea jelly that are prepared in-house, whipped cream, and almond flakes, this refreshing dessert will make the perfect treat after filling up on the soups.
As part of this launch, you can get Thai Milk Tea ($5.80++), served with the same Thai tea jelly spotted in the bingsu. We found this beverage creamy and packed with fragrant tea notes, with a nice textural contrast from the jelly bits.Â
Do note that this is a limited-time menu that’s only available till 30 April, so make sure you head down stat!Â
