ICYMI: Homm Dessert has launched its second outlet in Singapore, this time at Resort World Sentosaâs (RWS) new Weave mall!
The popular Thai dessert cafe from Melbourne first opened at Raffles City last October to much fanfare.
The Brulee Mochi Sundae ($8.80++) series, debuting at RWS, is one highlight. These sundaes feature caramelised mochi slices served with gelato. You can choose from three flavours: Thai Tea, Coconut, and Strawberry & Passionfruit. While these desserts are currently exclusive to RWS, they will also be available at Raffles City in the future.
Thereâs also the signature Thai Tea Avalanche Bingsu ($19.80++), the brandâs bestselling dessert in both Australia and Singapore. This showstopping dessert features layers of house-made Thai tea gelato, whipped cream cheese, buttery sable crumbs, and a snowflake-textured bingsu cake. You also get sides of grass jelly, Thai tea sauce, and condensed milk to customise the bingsu to your preferred sweetness.
If youâre not a fan of Thai tea, consider Hommâs Taro Bingsu ($19.80++), paired with a sweet, creamy taro paste. The bingsu comes with shredded coconut meat, as well as handmade pumpkin boba and a salted coconut sauce on the side.
On the savoury front, diners can look forward to an extended menu exclusive to the RWS outlet. Start with the Mango Soba Salad ($16.80++), a refreshing cold soba dish with mango, avocado, coriander, red onions, and a soft-boiled egg, served with a spicy dressing made of fish sauce, chilli, and lime juice.
Alternatively, go for the Sriracha Salmon Sando ($18.80++), where smoked salmon is layered on fluffy shokupan, slathered with a galangal-infused sriracha mix, and topped with house-made sriracha caviar. Thereâs also a Chicken Karaage ($13.80++) sando, comprising crispy chicken thigh, sweet onion jam, and a Thai nam chim jaew dip thatâs spicy and savoury.
For mains, tuck into pasta dishes such as Thai Chili Crab Linguine ($22.80++): al dente pasta tossed in a fragrant sauce made with lemongrass, shallots, and birdâs eye chilli, then paired with deep-fried soft-shell crab.
While youâre there, check out Din Tai Fungâs new RWS outlet, where you can enjoy curated cocktails alongside their signature xiao long bao! Otherwise, read our guide to the best floss buns in Singapore to get you in the mood for SG60.
