Reviews on Google rave about Hue Banh Mi as serving some of the most authentic Vietnamese fares you can get out there for under $7. This humble home-based business (HBB) in Choa Chu Kang, run by a native Vietnamese, caught our attention as they recently went viral on TikTok, garnering more than 25k likes at the time of writing.

Do note that as it is a home-based business, there isn’t the option to dine in, but you can always opt for delivery or takeaway.

The HBB is relatively unknown in our food scene but is a hidden gem to those living around the area. They are known for their signature banh mi offerings, which are said to be tasty and affordable. Priced under$7, each crispy baguette is packed with plenty of fresh ingredients.

There are seven types of banh mi on the menu, with a wide range of protein options to choose from: Banh Mi Cha Ca ($6) which has grilled fish, Banh Mi Heo Quay ($6) starring roasted pork, and Banh Mi Ga Ke ($5.50) featuring shredded chicken. For something more substantial, go for their Special Banh Mi Dac Biet ($6.30) which has four types of pork ham, pork floss, pate, and vegetables.

Other than their banh mi, customers love their Goi Cuon Tom, which is essentially a Vietnamese spring roll generously packed with shrimp, radishes, lettuce, and carrots. This is priced at $5 for two pieces and $7 for three. They also make a decent Vietnamese Iced Coffee (price TBD) which is said to be sweet and thick, perfect for those in need of a caffeine kick.

Here’s a tip: place your orders from Banh Mi Hue in advance via Whatsapp at 8611 8599 to avoid a wasted trip.
