Jett Barbecue: Highly Raved XXL American BBQ Ribs And More By 27-Year-Old Chef

Jett Barbecue has American barbecue ribs and more

If you haven’t heard of Jett Barbecue, it’s time you did: this delivery-only business is worth every calorie, penny, and five-star review they’ve been left. Run by 27-year-old Chua Jett Yong, who started the business out of his parents’ house back in 2021, it’s now a 1,200-ribs-a-month enterprise backed by two heavy-duty, custom-built smokers in a commercial kitchen.

What’s the fuss all about, you may ask. When Jett first started selling his American-style barbecue ribs, they’d often sell out within minutes upon launching; he even flew to Texas, home of American barbecue, to refine his craft with some of the best names in the game.

The result—ultra-tender, incredibly juicy, fall-off-the-bone beef ribs, smoked for 14 hours with meat and wood that’s specially imported from the USA.

Even today, churning out more than a thousand of his dino ribs a month, Jett mans the smokers himself to ensure the meat comes out exactly as it should.

The menu at Jett Barbecue is simple. There is only one set on the menu, USDA Prime Beef Dino Rib Set, priced at $190, inclusive of delivery. This comes with two whole USDA prime beef ribs, weighing in at approximately 1kg, bone-in. Depending on how many people you’re catering for, there’s a guide on the website to help you figure it out.

That’s not all, you’ll also get house-made barbecue sauces, and pickles to cut through the smoky, beefy flavours of the BBQ. There’s a sweet-tangy, smoky BBQ sauce, and creamy horseradish sauce, and arugula on the side too.

Plus, each set comes with a pint of Jett’s glorious mashed potatoes, which are unbelievably smooth and buttery, and topped with chopped chives.

Balance that out with coleslaw, which is also house-made. You’ll get one pint with each set ordered.

Slots for each month are released on the third Sunday of the preceding month at 8pm. The ribs are only available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and the ordering system is such that you select your desired date directly to order.

For something that’s not beef, and not American BBQ, check out the XXL Thai pork backbone, AKA leng saap, at Korat Thai Cafe. Alternatively, enjoy BBQ Under The Stars at Turf Club, for an Italian barbecue buffet!
