Keng Eng Kee Seafood Opens New Restaurant In SAFRA Tampines

Keng Eng Kee Seafood in SAFRA Tampines

Beloved zi char restaurant Keng Eng Kee Seafood is finally branching out of the West side with the news that they’re opening a second restaurant in SAFRA Tampines, potentially in mid-August. Currently, the restaurant is in their soft launch phase, and is now available to GrabFood users for online orders only.

Do note the menu is limited at the moment, though we’re fully expecting their signature crabs and other chef’s specialties to be available once Keng Eng Kee Seafood Tampines is in full operation.

Keng Eng Kee Seafood is one of Singapore’s most renowned zi char restaurants, as they’ve been in operation since the 1970s. What began as a humble hawker stall in the now-defunct Old Havelock Road Hawker Centre has burgeoned into a national favourite, with patrons willing to travel all the way down to Bukit Merah for their homely, hearty fare.

The eatery is currently run by next-generation family members—three siblings who have given the brand a modern touch, while staying true to heritage recipes. Keng Eng Kee Seafood is also a fixture on the Michelin Guide Singapore, with multiple Michelin Plate awards since 2016.

If you’ve not tried Keng Eng Kee Seafood before, then bestsellers to look out for include their Signature Chilli Crab (market price), Roast Chicken (from $14.80+), and Moonlight Hor Fun (from $7.80+).

All their dishes are suffused with wok hei goodness, and are full on flavour.

They’ve also got a handful of house-made specialities, which are great for sharing if you’re dining in a large group. Get their Sharing Platter (from $58.80+) if you’re looking to try all of these small bites. The platter comes with their crispy Golden Pearl Roll, Prawn Roll, Dough Fritter with Seafood Paste, and Yam Basket.

For more food in the East, check out House of Desserts for old-school desserts from $1.50. There’s also Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee, for lor mee with crispy fried codfish, prepared from a 50 year recipe.

Address: 1/A Tampines Street 92, Singapore 528882
Opening hours: TBD
