La Savoir: New High Tea Restaurant With Hermès Tableware, Overlooks Orchard Road

La Savoir in Orchard has high tea served on Hermès plates

If enjoying a fancy afternoon tea with gorgeous views of Orchard Road sounds like your jam, you’ll find it right here at La Savoir.

This new restaurant recently opened its doors on the second floor of Scotts Square, right in the heart of the bustling Orchard locale.

Here’s the catch: everything, from the wallpaper to the plates on each table, is from Hermès. Most of these designs are super exclusive, and are no longer in production!

A three-tiered afternoon tea is available daily from 2:30pm to 5pm, at $67++ per person. Start with the savoury tier, which comprises a medley of bite-sized snacks including Smoked Salmon SandwichTruffle Mushroom Tart, and Waffle Caviar.

No high tea is complete without scones, and the ones served at La Savoir are pretty decent—slightly sweet with a delightful crust and tender crumb.

Each diner gets a raisin scone and a plain scone, served with whipped cream and cherry jam.

There’s also another tier of sweet treats: Macaron and Kumquat Citrus Cake, the latter being a collaboration between the restaurant and popular local patisserie Nesuto.

A dainty Hazelnut Milk Choux Puff filled with rich hazelnut cream is served on the side, to end off the experience.

Each set also comes with a pastry basket, so you definitely won’t leave hungry.

To go along with the snacks, you can choose from a range of TWG teas, including Breakfast Earl Grey, Genmaicha, and Milk Oolong. Alternatively, they offer espresso-based coffee such as Americano and Latte.

If you’re a fan of the butter board or cream cheese board trend, you can try La Savoir’s version.

The La Savoir Butter Board ($18++) features a trio of freshly made butter in flavours including furikake, served with a side of bread for dipping.

Those visiting for brunch can also check out their breakfast menu that takes place from Monday to Thursday, 10am to 11:30am, and Friday to Sunday 10am to 2pm. Look forward to value-for-money mains such as Breakfast Waffle ($18++) and Pesto Egg Benedict ($23++).

If you’re dining in the day, consider the seats that overlook Orchard Road, so you can people-watch and while the afternoon away.
