NESCAFÉ launches new Nutri-Grade B Gao Siew Dai Coffee

As much as my morning cup of kopi is a non-negotiable, getting it from my local kopitiam every day just isn’t the most wholesome habit. Let’s be honest, no matter how much I tell the uncle to siew dai my kopi, condensed and evaporated milk aren’t the most nutritious way to start my mornings. While on the hunt for a healthier, more cost-effective caffeine fix, NESCAFÉ came into the picture, with their all-new White Coffee Gao Siew Dai, now Healthier-Choice certified.

We all know NESCAFÉ as one of the leading names in instant coffee. The brand has been around since 1938, and over the decades, has become a household staple worldwide. Here in Singapore, it’s especially well-loved for its range of locally inspired instant coffees.

Their Gao Siew Dai range is particularly popular.

The signature white coffee, prepared Ipoh-style, boasts a rich, creamy body with a bold roast that isn’t overly sweet. On top of that, it’s also low in saturated fat and made with no artificial sweeteners, making it a healthier, guilt-free way to kickstart your mornings.

There’s also a hazelnut option if you prefer flavoured coffees, or a Kopi Gao Siew Dai version for a more roasty profile. You can also enjoy it hot or iced!

The Nutri-Grade B Gao Siew Dai Coffee is also part of NESCAFÉ’s support for Singapore’s move towards becoming a healthier nation.

With the Health Promotion Board encouraging consumers to opt for Nutri-Grade A and B beverages, this innovation means coffee lovers get to make a more balanced choice without giving up the comforting taste of their daily brew.

Additionally, its Nutri-Grade B rating means the drink contains more than 1g, but not exceeding 5g of sugar per 100ml of beverage, striking a balance between the rich, comforting taste of traditional kopi and a nutritional profile that supports better daily habits.

FYI: According to Health Hub, kopi has about 4tsp of sugar per serving, which works out to around 16g. Even your siew dai order works out to 2.9tsp, or 12g of sugar.

And yes, the healthier coffee formula doesn’t mean you’ll be compromising on flavour. Each sachet still delivers the same rich, full-bodied aroma, with deep roasted notes and a smooth, milky finish that isn’t at all cloying. If you love kopi but prefer it a little lighter on the sugar, NESCAFÉ has your back.

If you’re not on the NESCAFÉ bandwagon yet, the brand is rewarding consumers with free packets of Gao Siew Dai coffee at their roadshows. All you have to do is bring an empty packet of Nutri-Grade C or D coffee from any brand to trade in for a free pack of Gao Siew Dai.
