1. Gyusei Gyukatsu Wagyu Steakhouse

Gyusei Gyukatsu Wagyu Steakhouse is a new restaurant along North Bridge Road, a short walk from Lavender MRT Station. Here you’ll find Singapore’s first halal A5 Wagyu gyukatsu!

You won’t go wrong with the A5 Wagyu Ribeye Gyukatsu Set ($69++), where the katsu is charcoal-smoked immediately after it’s deep-fried, resulting in a deep and smoky flavour profile. You get to grill your beef cutlet on the provided hot stone grill to your preferred doneness. We found each piece satisfyingly buttery with a velvety finish, pairing well with the crispy breadcrumb layer.

ICYMI: Famous Korean fast food chain Lotteria has opened in Singapore, at Jewel Changi Airport! This marks the brand’s seventh overseas outlet. It was founded in 1972 in Japan by a Korean entrepreneur, before expanding to Seoul in 1979.

Fans can expect their signature burgers, including the Mozzarella Tomato Basil Burger ($12.50), where a beef patty is joined by fresh lettuce, a fried mozzarella patty, and a spread of mayo, and their secret burger sauce, all between two toasted mozzarella buns. For seafood fans, we recommend their Ria’s Shrimp Burger ($7.20), which features a hefty shrimp patty, topped with crispy lettuce and a load of tartar and Thousand Island sauce. Don’t miss out on the Singapore-exclusive Kimchi Bulgogi Burger ($7.80), too!
