Now that we are back in the dine-in phase, I’m sure many of us have been frequenting our favourite eateries that we’ve missed dearly over the P2HA period. To add variety to your itinerary, here are 10 new restaurants for you to try in September 2021, including an IG-worthy beach-themed bar, an Australian-inspired cafe selling acai bowls and more! Do note that this list that we’ve curated features new openings and revamped menus as well.
Eggslut has finally set foot in Singapore! Their signature Fairfax Sandwich ($12) features creamy scrambled eggs, sweet caramelised onions, cheddar cheese, and Sriracha mayo, all sandwiched between fluffy brioche buns. The Slut ($11) is another must-try; it features coddled egg atop potato puree, paired with toasted baguette slices.
If you’re looking for something more hearty, the Gaucho Sandwich ($23) comes with slices of seared Wagyu tri-tip, an over-medium egg, arugula, finished with a chimichurri sauce. For drinks, there are two craft sodas available on their menu, specially created in collaboration with a local brewery. Priced at $4.50, there is an Elderflower & Lemon flavour, and a Grapefruit & Ginger one as well.

Eatbox is now a permanent food hall at Tekka Place near Rochor MRT Station. Beat the heat with XXL shaved ice from Ice On You, including flavours such as the Thai Milk Tea Shaver ($5.80) or the IG-worthy Rainbow Shaver ($5.80).
From Thachang Shaker Bar, go for the well-marinated Original Mooping ($1.50), Mala Mooping ($2), or the Tom Yum Mooping ($2). Pair this with a side of Thachang Noodle Shaker (from $5.90), which comes in familiar Thai flavours including tom yum, and boat noodle.
Something more filling is the Premium A5 Wagyu ($25.90) rice bowl that comes with juicy slices of Wagyu and a portion of fragrant garlic fried rice.

Newly opened by actor Pierre Png is Tipsy Flamingo, a beach-themed bar with an ambience that is great for the ‘gram. Go straight for Pierre’s unique creation, the refreshing Steady Pom P-P ($18++) that is perfumed with flowery notes from the honey and peach bitters.
From their savoury options, there is Tipsy’s Lobster & Crabmeat Roll ($29++), which wcomes with a generous portion of lobster chunks, topped with herring caviar to give this roll a burst of umami. Other must-tries are Tipsy’s Ebi Katsu Sando ($18++), and the Fried Beef Rib ($60++ for 650g), which will surely satisfy all meat lovers!

Popular American burger chain Shake Shack has opened their seventh outlet at Singapore’s famous attraction, Gardens By The Bay. An outlet-special is the Roasted Garlic Mushroom Burger ($12.50), which comes with a juicy beef patty encased in melted cheese and aromatic garlic mayo.
Another new menu item is the Roasted Garlic Fries ($6.50), seasoned in garlic mayo, and topped with a handful of powdered cheese and spring onions. Unique additions to their dessert menu include the blueberry-flavoured Berries by the Bay ($7.50) and the mango-infused Tropic Like It’s Hot ($7.50).

Kumoya is back and better with a Hello Kitty Shabu Shabu Restaurant! The Shabau-Shabu Set (from $24.90+), allows you to choose a soup base, followed by a meat, seafood, or vegetarian dish, and a portion of rice or noodles, along with one dipping sauce. There are 10 soup bases, including Chicken Beauty Collagen or Szechuan Mala.
They also have adorable Hello-Kitty desserts such as the Hello Kitty Apple Mousse Cake ($12.90+) filled with cream and apple jam, or the light and fluffy Strawberry Swiss Roll ($11.90+). Their Frappe selection including the Momo Watermelon Frappe ($13.90+) and Soursop Mint Frappe ($13.90+) are topped with pastel-coloured sprinkles—great for the ‘gram!

Popped up along Circular Road is Restaurant Salt, which offers an ever-changing menu of innovative dishes. Adding to the fun is their curbside pickup service, where you can grab an all-in-one Party “Lunch-box” ($46.90) featuring a full lobster roll, Korean garlic cream cheese bun, and a unique, sweet-savoury chorizo financier.
Their drinks are well worth a mention too. A favourite is their Salt’s Summer Passionfruit Tea ($12.50), which comes freshly brewed in a 500ml bottle for a thirst-quenching drink. You can also pick their Fruit Vinegar ($12.50) for something tart, or Hazelnut Assam Milk Tea ($12.50) for a light caffeine fix.

Gram Cafe & Pancakes recently renovated their outlet at VivoCity, and is now decorated with hues of pinks and blues. Look out for their life-sized sakura tree that spans across the cafe ceiling, making the space extra pretty.
To celebrate their reopening, they have launched a new KitKat menu including the Limited Edition Gram Premium Matcha Pancakes made with KITKAT ($22.90++), and the Limited Edition Chocolate Premium Pancakes made with KITKAT ($20.90++).

The newly opened Carrotsticks and Cravings at Stanley Street is a chic and cosy brunch spot for your next healthy brunch date. Made famous thanks to their affordable yet restaurant-standard burgers is Burgs by Project Warung, which opened their newest outlet at 313@somerset. Purists can go for their Burgs Classic Cheese Burger ($6.90) or the Marinara Burger ($5.90), doused in a tangy house-made tomato sauce.
A unique alternative is the Crispy Fish Burger ($7.90). It boasts a crispy battered dory fish slathered with house-made cheese sauce, topped with refreshing tomato salsa. Tucked within Copthorne King’s Hotel, Tien Court has launched a brand new menu showcasing a variety of Teochew and Cantonese dishes. Their Deep-fried Glutinous Rice with Minced Chicken ($7++) features savoury minced chicken encased in a crispy golden outer layer of fried glutinous rice.
For desserts, they have a Homemade Tau Suan with Freshly Grated Orange Peel, Gingko and Fried Dough Fritter ($6++), which is perfumed with zesty notes. There’s also the Signature Teochew Crispy Noodle (from $20++), served with a tangy strawberry vinegar sauce that’s light and refreshing.
