When Nic & Tom Eatery closed their Serangoon Gardens diner after three years there, the internet lamented the end of their cheese bee hoon days. Hereâs some good news, less than two months after they shuttered that locationâtheyâre reopening this Wednesday, 27 July 2022, in Chinatown! Thatâs not the best part: theyâre letting everyone dine for free till Friday, 29 July!

This promotion comes as a gesture of appreciation from Nic & Tom to all their loyal customers whoâve supported them throughout their years at Serangoon Gardens, and to welcome one and all to their new, monochromatic-themed space that seats up to 96 diners.

If the deal sounds too good to be true, it isnât: save for the Lobster Pao Fan ($36) and Creme Brulee ($4.90), you can order everything on the menu. Thereâs also no dining time limitation, although you will be charged for food wastage.
Apart from that, all youâll have to do is follow these steps ahead of your meal hereâfollow the Nic & Tom Instagram page, like their latest Instagram post, and tag three friends who arenât dining with you. Then, share this post on your own Instagram stories, and youâre set to eat as much you can on the house! Do note that theyâre not taking reservations, so youâll have to walk in.
If youâve never been to Nic & Tom, check out our review of their famed Seafood Cheese Beehoon ($9.90). Should you prefer, there are Abalone and Big Scallop versions, both priced at $15.90. Whatâs noteworthy is that Nic & Tom charges only 1% service charge on top of GST!
We also tried the Tuckshop Rice ($1.90) on our last visit here, which we absolutely loved.
Then, thereâs Hakka Yong Tau Foo ($5.90) and Pig Trotter Rice ($5.90), the latter of which featured melt-in-your-mouth skin and preserved vegetables on pearl rice.
At this new Sago Street outlet, Nic & Tom is introducing new dishes, including Nic & Tom Sesame Buns ($3.90 for one), filled with shredded pork, and topped with black and white sesame seeds that match their BNW interiors.
