This Hidden Tampines Bakery Has Atas Bakes From $2.50, Including Bi-Colour Croissants

One18 Bakery in Tampines has fresh croissants

Easties are lucky to live near Tampines—there’s Wunderfolks with their IG-famous tarts, Dough in Jungle, a hidden gem bakery with $0.90 ondeh buns and the list goes on. Muslim-owned One18 Bakery is another addition to the list you must check out, as they offer an attractive selection of fresh bakes that won’t burn a hole in your pocket.

The Pistachio Supreme ($5.50) is a gorgeous pastry that has more than just good looks. The flaky croissant is packed and topped with a silky-smooth pistachio cream, which boasts nutty notes and a sufficiently sweet flavour.

Moving on to what is said to be their most popular item, the Plain Croissant ($2.50) is unlike all the other regular croissants you’ve had. These dual-toned croissants stand out thanks to the vibrant stripes of red and green! If you can appreciate croissants with an airy texture and buttery flavour, you’ll surely love this one.

For something more local, get their Ondeh Ondeh Rolls ($8) which comes in three rolls in a box. You can expect a soft pandan sponge filled with gula melaka cream mixed with fine bits of palm sugar for a nice crunch in each bite!

Another must-try is the Cinnamon Roll ($4.50) that appears bigger than the size of your palm. Crispy on the outside and chewy within, you get a rich dough layered with a sweet cinnamon-sugar filling. Other unique bakes you should check out include Pulut Hitam Creme Brulee ($6), and Sambal Ikan Bilis croissant ($4.50).
