Orchard and Somerset are home to a myriad of food options, including a hidden izakaya spot, and the new Wagyu hamburg joint Gyu San Charcoal Bar. On a related note, we recently discovered another hidden find, Planet Plus.
Located within a furniture store in Scotts Square, this under-the-radar cafe boasts pink interiors and quirky furniture in its sprawling space.
Currently, the cafe menu is rather lean with a few ready-made cakes on display and fresh croffles. There’s also a small selection of iced coffee on the menu.
The Bisky Mango ($12.90+) cake is a unique find. This fun dessert comes with a base made of crushed pistachio, hazelnut, and caramel, topped with an edible mango “cheese” wedge.
There’s also a cute-looking Yammy Heartfelt ($12.90+) cake for you to share with your date. This coconut and yam cake was light and creamy, though we felt there was a slight aftertaste that didn’t gel well with the flavours.
If you want a hot treat, the Cheese & Mochi Croffle ($6.50+)Â might be worth considering. This petite snack features a toasty croffle with a layer of sliced cheese, topped with sweet mochi cubes.
We also spotted savoury croissant sandwiches on the list, in flavours such as Gochujang Bulgogi ($11+) and Truffle BLT ($11+).
There’s a variety of seating arrangements to choose from, from plush armchairs for lounging around to sleek marble tables for those seeking a work-friendly option.
Here’s another cool fact: most of the furniture in the store is for sale, so if something catches your eye, you can scan the QR code of the item to find out more! The main store, located right next to the cafe, stocks other home essentials and lifestyle products too, so you can shop to your heart’s content after indulging in some desserts.
