We know chilli crab is super popular amongst tourists, and local restaurants have stepped up to deliver. Local snack brands have also created a variety of chilli crab-flavoured nibbles, from potato chips to cup noodle flavours.

In our polls, hosted across Eatbook’s articles, we’ve been asking Singaporeans for their foodie opinions, and our readers have responded. Nearly 400 people responded to our crab sauce poll, where we asked them what they thought the best crab sauce was.
42% replied that chilli crab was the best, firmly settling the debate. Surprisingly, black pepper and salted egg were the two next most popular options, following butter crab. Finally, white pepper crab was the least popular, with only 5% thinking that it is the superior crab sauce.
