Popular French Restaurant SO France Will Close All Outlets By End-Feb

SO France to close both restaurant and cafe outlets

ICYMI: SO France, one of Singapore’s most popular French dining destinations, will shutter the doors of both its venues by the end of February 2026.

SO France DUO at Bugis’ Duo Galleria mall will cease operations on 25 January, while its cafe at Alliance Française de Singapour in Newton will remain open until 28 February.

Having arrived in Singapore back in 2018, patrons of their SO France DUO restaurant will be familiar with their comforting French fare and wines.

The restaurant prides itself on serving authentic French cuisine: think hearty mains including Duck Confit Gratin ($28++) with mashed potatoes and Steak Frites ($42++), featuring beef striploin, mesclun salad, French fries, and Bearnaise sauce.

Beyond the dining experience, guests can also visit the gourmet store to browse a selection of over 1,000 gourmet products sourced from artisanal producers across France.

Meanwhile, SO France Cafe offers artisanal French pastries and delights, ranging from their Ham and Cheese Quiche ($12++) to Le Poulet Sandwich ($12++), which is made up of chicken, mayo, and arugula.

In a Facebook post on 13 January, SO France said that the decision was made with “heavy hearts, yet immense gratitude”. The brand then thanked customers for allowing them be part of their everyday moments over the years.

They also welcomed patrons to dine at the restaurant one last time before its closure, marking a bittersweet close to the brand’s chapter in Singapore.

For patrons looking to savour one last taste of the offerings from both outlets, they can do so during the following hours listed below.

Although SO France will be leaving Singapore’s shores, you can find authentic French cuisine at Swag and Sizzle, a hawker store in Tanjong Pagar helmed by former executive chefs from French restaurant L’Entrecote, as well as Orchard’s Summer Hill, which features a French brunch buffet served in a cart.
